At first I wasn’t sure about this ev n allowing my for th excellence of the producer. However with time in the glass (30 minutes+) it really began to shine. Lush with tropical fruit but plenty of acidity and a lengthy finish.

I enjoyed this. Drinking beautifully now. Smooth but with a tiny amount of tannin providing some grip. Red and some black fruit and well balanced. Probably has another 3-5 years to go.

Still outstanding, a great year for Oregon Pinot and this is right at the top of the tree. One of the best Beaux Freres I’ve had the pleasure of drinking and making only regret is that I don’t have any more!

Excellent California Pinot noir and a remarkable QPR. I would not have been disappointed if I had paid $60 as opposed to $32 for this. Drinking beautifully now.

This is always good and the 2016 is no exception. Blackberries, plums and notably spicy. Drinking beautifully now and I suspect has 5+ years minimum to go.

Very nice wine. Round and smooth and drinking beautifully now. Restrained alcohol for a Châteauneuf du Pape (14.5%) so not syrupy or heavy.

I had a bottle this evening and it is still as good, if not better, than it was earlier this year when I commented on it. Difficult to believe that this is “only” Gibraltar but as a result of course the value is outstanding. I wish I had more!

This is terrific. Smooth with telling acidity and, unlike many California Cabernet dominated wines neither jammy nor over the top notwithstanding an alcohol level of 15 per cent. In a sweet spot now which may continue for some time to come. I loved it!

This is the first Tyler wine I have had and I was impressed. Very smooth and mouth filling; fairly rich on the palate (not jammy!)with alcohol level iwell under control (13.5%). I think I have 2/3 bottles in the cellar and I hope I’m right!

Absolutely outstanding and very good value. If it were from Burgundy or even California it would command triple the price. Fruit: grapefruit lemon zest combined with a considerable amount of acidity. I would guess it would last for another 10+ years but no real need to wait. Loved it.

Good and very good value. To my taste a rather traditional Burgundy (a good thing!) chrrries, some earth and a little spice. Drinking very well now; I enjoyed it.

Very good. All the Littorai Pinots need time in my experience. This is drinking beautifully now and my guess is that it will continue to do so for at least another 5 years. A rich wine with plenty of fruit and a touch of spice.

This is good. A fairly “big” Pinot but with excellent acidity which balances it out. Good fruit too. I do think it’s getting better but this may be my last bottle!

This is the third time I’ve commented on this and it seems to continue to improve as each year passes. Lots of dark berry fruit, smooth and with a great finish. Rich but certainly not over the top.

This is good. Needs a little air but, with that, a mineral wine with plenty of fruit ( yellow?). Drinking beautifully now and should hold for (5+?) more years.

I'd completely forgotten that I had reviewed this in 2018. I found another bottle last night and the wine continues to excellent with food (duck again) and particularly good for the vintage. very balanced, not too much alcohol and a very good finish.

This is good and good value. Plenty of fruit but certainly not the “jammy” style of many Barossa and some McClaren Vale shirazes. Drinking very well now and I would guess several years to go.

This is sensationally good value. I loved it. Smooth, plenty of fruit and a touch of class. Certainly outstrips a good deal of Burgundy from more auspicious ( and therefore more expensive) villages. My only regret is that I didn’t buy more!

This is good. Generally I don’t like wines with high alcohol levels as this one undoubtedly has but here it is very well disguised. A sort of St. Rita Hills C de P with a 5-10 year time horizon.

This is good and drinking very well. Plenty of fruit but quite a bit more austere than many California Pinots. Also a distinct spicy element at the back end which I liked.

Wells Guthrie made terrific wines at Copain and this is very good. Plenty of mainly red fruit and, above all, a spicy finish. Drinking very well now.

Even better than the last time I commented on this. Delicate, smooth as silk. The Littorai wines really do improve with age and this one is no exception. Unfortunately I think this was my last bottle!

I’ve visited this place a couple of times. M. Leclerc is a fun guy and his wines are excellent but I have found them very hard to source in the US (NC).This is a very good village wine; balanced, plenty of fruit and ready to drink.

For a village wine this is really good. Drinking beautifully, plenty of fruit and very balanced. It’s a pity it’s difficult to get hold of (here anyway!).

I completely agree with the previous review. Given the price point particularly good and very moreish- a really good Burgundy at a decent price. Typically nowadays an oxymoron. I’ve drunk this domaines Marsanays and Chambolle Musignys and they all drink well in my experience.

Littorai is an outstanding producer of Burgundian varietals in California and this is no exception. In its prime drinking window now; very smooth with plenty of fruit (plum in particular?). Perhaps not the most complex wine of the Littorai portfolio but very good!

Lovel this; lI’ve reviewed before and it’s as good as ever. For my money, and I’ve drunk a lot of them, one of the best Beaux Freres. Ready now but will no doubt be terrific for another 5-10 years.

Very good. After about 45 minutes of decanting smooth as silk with earthy and black fruit tones. Made by a master (mistress) winemaker and it shows. Ready to drink but I think it will be at at least the same level for another 5-10 years.

As previous notes indicate I’m a big fan of Littorai and this wine is very much in the Littorai zone. Very smooth, well rounded, less than 13% alcohol plenty of fruit and some earth. Will no doubt be great for years to come, but, in my view, no need to wait.

This is good. Bought a few bottles at a Soter wine dinner and they this was clearly the best of the he wines on offer. Finally opened a bottle last night with mushroom risotto and I was very impressed. The wine is silky smooth with plus of fruit. Ready to drink but may even improve over time?

This is drinking very well. Dark, a little earthy with red fruits. To be honest I wouldn’t necessarily have identified this as a Russian River Valley Pinot- there is more than a touch of the old world about it but, from my perspective, that’s not a problem, in fact rather the reverse!

A very enjoyable wine to drink. Full, round and brimming with fruit, mostly black. I’m a big fan of Hartford wines but normally 15%+ alcohol is simply too much for Pinot but this one s in that category and still very good.

This is getting better with age. Highly doubtful that you need to leave it until 2023 as one of the professional reviewers has suggested although there is no doubt it will be drinking well then. Typical MacLaren Vale Shiraz but as is the hallmark of Two Hands much better than most.

I’m a big fan of Littorai and this wine did not disappoint. I first tasted this at the winery a couple of years ago and really liked it. Very good lots of red fruit and extremely restrained alcohol (12.8 degrees) which for a CA wine is a major plus. Drinking very well now and will undoubtedly continue to do so for several years to come.
