September 16, 2017 - A healthy gush of dull berry fruit at plateau, though possibly not for much longer, and without much complexity. Drink now.

May 7, 2014 - A nice PS. Was a little flat upon opening. Tannins and not much else. Took and hour in decanter to develop and start showing the fruit and spice. Paired well with smoke and spice, some balsamic glaze.

April 9, 2011 - Decanted for a short while. Good PS color, spicy flavor.

August 18, 2010 - Tannins are starting to soften, tons of dark PS fruit along with a dollop of frothy vanilla oak. Pretty good with spicy asian-style slow cooked pork shoulder, but without big rich food, I think this would be way out of balance.

August 2, 2009 - Been open a few hours now - gotta give PS its space. Reddish purple color. Nose of blackberries and black pepper. Intense dark cherry and blackberry taste, firm tannins, fairly long finish with a little chocolate mixed in. Competently made, but doesn't have the "wow" factor (for me).
