Starts with a rich mix of herbs and ripe fruit on the nose. Maybe a bit of mint and lemon. Continues with a solid acid base balanced well with not too sweet blueberries, herbs and nutmeg. A wine that seems to have many years to go. Just enough of being the antithesis of the over ripe CA cabs. Excellent.

Tremendous white burgundy. Starts with a clean, lemon, salt, and mineral scent. A light/medium body wine with tastes of lemons, salt and stones, balanced with a hint of honey/butterscotch, apples. A precise and balanced wine that shows some reduction at the outset and opens nicely over a short period of time after pouring.

Particularly good because it is "full grown" and at the end of the drinking window. I expanded the drinking range to 2026 from 2023 since I think if cellared it will be good over next couple of years. I like that it did not suffer from the excessive cola finish present in many of the better CA pinots. Nice wine.

An uninviting nose - a bit too much alcohol. On tasting, the wine shows a good mix of tea, pepper and cream, finishing with a long and slightly bitter but nice cola taste. Some vegetal taste too. Decent and interesting pinot in a decidedly CA style. No one will confuse this with a French red burgundy. Could continue to evolve in cellar for a few more years. (I noticed that the projection for this wine on Cellar tracker is 2022, so I revised on Cellar Tracker to 2029. It seems to be getting better with time.)

Fragrant and elegant nose. An amazing balance of stone fruit and a hint of pineapple, salt/minerals and acid with a squeeze of lemon on the finish. Softened over the past year or so. Light in body; nuanced and well-structured white Burgandy. Not an ordinary Bourgogne Blanc.

Starts with a floral and pineapple nose. Excellent. Tasting the wine shows more citrus and acid, balanced with stone fruits. Nicely tied together without being too sweet or acidic. Great balance.

An excellent CA cab, drinking well now. While it is age worthy for several years, I do not believe it is necessary, and that is likely not the intention of the vintner. It is a classic CA cab that hits all the basic notes without being too hot or bright; it works well now, particularly after a decant. A great value.

This is Chablis 101. It is excellent and a particularly good value. Well made, precise and classic Chablis style. Minerals, flint, citrus, good acidic balance. Great finish.

Developed into a standout for the vintage. A wonderful, inviting nose of aged ripe fruit. An excellent balance on the palate of ripe fruit, herbs, tea, lemon zest and vineyard greens. Still bright and youthful while showing softness from years in the cellar. Many more to go.

This is a fantastic Bourgogne. A bit on the ripe side compared to other years, as expected for this vintage. Still has a nice balance of lemon and minerals.

Great CA pinot. Clean floral and fruit nose. A balanced full-bodied wine of berries, spice and herbs. Time has improved the wine with many years ahead.

After several years of cellaring, this is now an excellent CA chard. While I strongly prefer white burgundy and a more austere style, this is an excellent expression of the full body CA chardonnay after a few cellar years to soften. The time in the cellar seems important for a wine of this style (and i have previously criticized some of these wines because of the alc content and the robust nature of the wines upon release). Time matters. It shows spice, lemon and ripe but balanced and not too forceful fruit. Great scent of lemon on the nose. A big wine with balance. A strong, long finish that ties all together. Excellent, interesting.

The time has made this much better, softer and much more interesting.
The brightness of the fruit is now softer, more balanced with herbs and a subtle but nice candied cherry taste on the finish.

Everything good about 2015 red burgundy bundled in this wine. Not too sweet, but nice ripe fruit balanced with acidity, spices and cranberry.
Great cranberry and floral nose. Drinking well now and seems to have the structure for a long cellar life.
