12/10/23, 7:34 PM - Thanks, Putnam Weekley. Very much appreciate it.
12/10/23, 7:29 PM - Thanks, Killer Jones. Agree that the undergrowth is their calling card. Find it in other German pinots too but it's esp. striking in E&M's pinots. I didn't have it open for several weeks but rather had it standing for several weeks before opening. There was some very fine sediment which I like to let settle. Thanks again for your comment. Much appreciated.
4/3/23, 5:26 AM - Thank you for the kind words, LindsayM. Much appreciated. Interested to see how this wine evolves.
11/28/22, 9:32 AM - Thank you for pointing out the error, slogan. Much appreciated. Score corrected to match text.
7/2/22, 3:52 PM - CT has three listings for the Lapierre Morgon: the Morgon, Morgon N and Morgon S. To be complete, I place tasting notes for both S and N under the generic Morgon noting which version it is and also place the same the note under the appropriate S or N listing.
3/6/22, 6:49 AM - Hi KillerJones, the wine was stood up unopened to settle any sediment, which it turned out was very little. It just happened to be 2 weeks before I could get to the wine. Hope that clarifies things. Best, James
1/30/22, 4:29 PM - Hi VeniVidiVini, thank you for your comment. I think it's drinking really well right now but there isn't a huge rush. The wine definitely needs air to come together but it's so good when it does. I would say at least 2 hours of air. Hope this helps. Cheers, James
7/14/21, 12:25 AM - The opening and recorking was an accident. But turned out to be a good thing! Had no idea they used old Dujac barrels. Thanks for the info!
