Very fresh nose, filled with jammy bramble and plum, crushed stone, forest floor, tobacco, and some cedar, very elegant. Beautiful body with firm acid, fine tannins, and M+ body. Dark fruit, cocoa, forest floor, leather, and anise carry out to the finish with a medium length finish. Reaffirming my love of the left bank, St-Estephe, and Calon-Ségur - a stunning wine and great vintage with great expression, intensity, balance, and complexity. Some room to go on aging, maybe peaking in next 5 years.

Decanted for two hours before pairing with grilled lamb chops. Deep ruby colouring with a bold nose of cassis, plum, smoke, leather, and a bit of cedar. Sharp in acidity and full of gripping tannins, the wine presents a full body of ripe dark fruit, mature oak, and smoky, leather, and coffee / dark chocolate flavours. A great wine with an impacting finish of olive, leather, and coffee flavours. Could age for many more years but I got impatient. Paired immaculately with the lamb as well. I have another bottle waiting for 2023-2024 drinking in the cellar, excited to see what happens.

Deep ruby in colour, with some early signs of bricking at the edge of the glass. A pronounced and clean bouquet of cassis, black cherry, some leafiness, and cedar warm the nose, with an alcoholic tone sneaking through. Still has some medium acidity, along with moderate, chewy tannins, all of which contributes to a medium plus body. Flavours of cassis, cedar, and the beginnings of leather and coffee notes warmly greet the palette. Great wine now, but given a few years could enter a new territory of excellence.

At this stage in the game, the wine has a clear ruby complexion with a lively, medium nose of fresh blackberry, coffee, forest floor, dark chocolate, and olive. On the palate, the tannins are still fairly high and certainly gritty, with medium-plus acidity and predominantly fresh French oak and pine flavors, with some pepper, juniper, and bitter cranberry joining in. The finish is long and pronounced, bringing forward more of the same fresh flavours. Good, but need time to age in my opinion. Only then can you really give a definitive answer on its quality.

Medium ruby body, showing no signs of age from the appearance. On the nose, ripe red cherry, blackberry, forest floor, and tomato come over in a unified flow indicating positive effects of age. On the palate, a medium acidity is greeted with well integrated and fine tannins, along with the red fruit and tomato of before, leading into a medium-minus finish echoing the oak's influence on the wine. Quite nice, with fair balance and a great representation of Tuscan viticulture, though intensity could be better

Deep ruby body, with aromas of dark berries, toasted coconut, forest floor, and very slight dill in an inviting sense. The acidity is on the high end, with full body and medium-plus to high acidity, and flavors of toasted oak and coconut dominating over cranberries, blackberries, black currant, and herbs less prominent than dill itself, but still quite complex, leading to a medium finish, with coarse tannins echoing out. A fairly nice balance, good complexity, high impact intensity, and a nice finish. Good Rioja

Aromas of light flowers, plum, cherry, leather, mint and pipe tobacco lead into a wonderfully complex palate of plum, cherry, leather, mint, olive, and forest undergrowth. Wonderfully plush and smooth, with well-integrated tannins and a nice balance. Outstanding wine.
