Classic Napa Chard, big and powerful with the whole gamut of Chard flavors. A bargain at $32 at Bottle King. Love the wine, hate the overweight bottle... this wine doesn't need that eyewash, it stands on its own.

This bottle was in a bad spot, fruit not integrated and kind of strange with a different taste/profile with each sip. No rating since it may have been a bad bottle; just seemed off with no signs of taint at all.

This was an interesting journey. Upon opening, I felt as if I had released a wild bull in my kitchen. Alcoholic, acidic and all over the place. I was sure I would NOT like this one! I decanted and let it rest overnight. Next day, it had calmed down, but still, I found it to be jammy and unfocused. However, on the third day, I tried it again and was pleasantly surprised. Very dark violet, inky, and almost black in the glass. Tobacco, plum and spice on the nose. Cocoa, tobacco, and black fruit on the palate. Complex, balanced, and focused. Aging gracefully either in the decanter or bottle scores big points with me, and I am looking forward to my next bottle.....

This is soooo good; fleshy, ripe fruit, succulent, enticing profile, with a full finish. This is my favorite Martinelli Pinot Noir Vineyard, always consistently great.

11/10/18, 5:06 PM - I find that CA Pinot typically drinks well young, and the Bondi Home Ranch is no exception. That said, wines from this vineyard are often large, fruity and structured, and can drink well for 6-8 years in my view, maybe longer, but I haven’t had any beyond that.

Not as big as some CA Chardonnays, but seductive ripe lemon/lime and melon flavors, excellent minerality and nice sharp bite at the finish, which is long and expansive. This is a style I really love!
