Really enjoyed this Pinot. Maybe it’s because I haven’t been drinking wine much lately, but I found the simplicity, fruit-forward, and clean finish to be just right. I think it was $12.99 at Prestige.

I've been to France on business several times since 2006. This is, hands-down, the best bottle of wine i've had in France. Fantastic complexity and minerality.

Served at a group dinner at Chateau de Ermenonville. Grass, some citrus, and "almost" crisp. Very pleasant on a warm evening after a long week at our office nearby.

A delightful St. Estephe...probably more reasonably priced than most bottles from this Saint Estephe vintage.

Selected for us at Le Goutillon in Chantilly. Fantastic minerality and perhaps the best wine I've while visiting France.

Have to agree with @jcbrand on this one...very young and very restrained. We let it decant on its own for more than 80 minutes, and we had high hopes for this bottle. The restraint of the flavors was almost overwhelming, made somewhat more curious by the expectations that were set a bit higher by the bouquet.

It must be too young; we're at least interested enough to seek out a '08 or '09 to compare & contrast.

A pretty serious fruit bomb...although after it had a chance to mellow after being open for 2+ hours, it was far more service-able.

Pleasant little wine that opened up nicely after about 2 hours. Paired very well with bacon-wrapped pork tournedos (barbecued, of course)

An interesting wine with a fair degree of complexity. First had a taste a couple of years ago at a local wine bar/tapas place...it was pretty good then, and we were glad to find it at Binny's. Probably even better at home with a batch of homemade sausage soup.

Last bottle from the case. We had a good tasting of this wine, bought a case with a first good few bottles. For some reason, the quality dropped significantly but these last couple of bottle are just as good as the first.

Second-to-last bottle from the case. It's back to what we thought this wine was capable of when we had the first tasting. Just a very good wine!

Good, not great Merlot. The great hunt for a basic red table wine in our household continues.

Very surprised by the CT community average score of 90 for this wine. Nice enough but I don't plan to get any more of it.

A lighter, crisper Chardonnay...almost closer to a Savignon Blanc. We enjoyed a bottle at Parker's Seafood. Hints of grass, melon, very light on the "butter." Oak is kept to a minimum. Will have to pick up some more.

Recall that this vintage was somewhat better tan it turned out. First glass was not decanted and left a bit to be desired. After another 30 minutes, and the start of Thanksgiving dinner, it had begun to open up nicely. Rest of bottle was finished with more than 90 minutes of decanting...markedly better.

Not sure what has happened with Acústic...the glass at the tasting was good. Good enough that I went back and bought a case a week or two later. The next two bottles were very good, much like what we had at the tasting. The most recent bottle, and this one, had a hotter finish and have been much more tannic that what we had initially. Just not happy with it at this point.

Somewhat better than the last bottle but not as good as the first two we had a couple of weeks ago. Still hoping the other bottles improve.

Kind of surprised with how this bottle disappointed...hot finish, lots of tannins, etc. We've already had two bottles that were just terrific and this one was pretty far off the mark. Hopefully, the next ones are better.

Neighbors drank most of this bottle on Halloween, but what we had was as good as the last bottle. Very smooth cab for an '09.

A very nice effort by Lynfred. They generally release their Merlot offering at this time of year, and this one seems to be one of their better ones of the last few years. M was less impressed. This wine is string to warrant a bulk purchase.

Finally getting back to this one, two years after the first bottle that we had (see my last tasting note on 7/4/10). No bias here...I mostly agree with that previous review, although I will say that it more even-handed this time around. A lighter approach to the nose and a less tannic finish.

I have to laugh at jowen's note below (on 8/24/10). I didn't notice note of tequila and gasoline...although I think I had a drink like that when I was college!

Interesting take for the 2010 SB from Lynfred. Initially shows lots of fruit. Finish has a wonderful hot of grapefruit.

Drank while putting up the Christmas tree. M likes it better than the Christmas Red; however, it's to "clove-y" for M if it's served too hot.

This rating is less than what we gave the '07 last year. Last year, it was immature and a bit hot at the finish. Not sure that the '07 has developed much in the last year, although the heat is mostly gone from the finish. Benefits from *really* long decant time.

Surprisingly delightful cab from Lynfred. We were worried that it would be either heavy-handed or flat but this bottle was very good.
