This is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon, in all the right ways, screaming mineral, insane graphite, pencil shavings, with ripe green, black, and lovely red fruit, with tar, anise, loads of roasted herb, and classic garrigue.
The mouth of this full-bodied wine is richly extracted, with crazy acidity in the middle, wrapped by intense tannin, extraction, blackberry, juicy raspberry, nice boysenberry, and loads of minerality, all coming together quite nicely, with mouth-draping tannin, and sweet roasted herbs.
The finish is long, green, and mineral-driven, with black and blue fruit, leather, sweet spices, mineral lingering long, roasted herbs, mint, menthol, tobacco, and juicy boysenberry staying long. Bravo!!! drink from 2025 until 2030.

The nose of this wine is lovely, crisp, earthy, dirty, and smoky, with ripe fruit, showing red, blue, and hints of black fruit, all wrapped in black tea, anise, rich menthol, lovely minerality, coffee grinds, and loam, nice!
The mouth of this full-bodied wine is ripe, balanced, and tense, with lovely blackberry, raspberry, ripe blueberry, loam, roasted herbs, mouth-draping and elegant tannin, with sweet oak, lovely tension, scraping minerality, loam, and more smoke.
The finish is long, ripe, and balanced, with more tannin, ripe blueberry, plum, leather, dark chocolate, menthol, rich graphite, and minerality, and loam lingering long. Bravo! Drink from 2025 until 2033.

2019 Terra di Seta Chianti Classico Chianti Classico DOCG Sangiovese Blend, Sangiovese (view label images)

The nose on this wine is lovely, with ripe notes, which is classic for a Chianti so young, with classic notes of burnt rubber, balsamic vinegar, rich smoke, incredible mineral, dark red fruit, menthol, and roasted animal, with loads of roasted herbs. The mouth on this medium-bodied wine is lovely, richly extracted ripe, and layered, with incredible acidity, this has to be the highest acid we have ever tasted on Terra di Seta wines, the body is lighter than previous vintages, with incredibly ripe fruit, at the start, but the crazy acidity makes it work, with dark plum, rich ripe cherry, menthol galore, with incredible minerality, showing saline, rocks, charcoal, with light tannins, showing beautiful mouthfeel but after a short time the mouthfeel goes thin and the fruit-focus is gone, this is a strange wine indeed! The finish is a bit short, with lovely smoke, mineral, dark chocolate-covered espresso, with more dried herbs, oregano, and dried mint. Drink by 2027. I am surprised by this wine, I will need to see where this goes, for now, I like it, and I will buy more, but it may not be for long holding. OK, so that was the notes after opening the bottle and tasting. The next day – the wine evolved into the classic wine we all take for granted! Now the nose is intoxicating, the ripeness has calmed down greatly, as I expected, but now the nose is dominated by lovely dried porcini mushrooms, dense fruit, menthol, smoke, roasted duck, and soya sauce galore, wow what a nose!! The mouth has evolved beautifully, and while the tannins are still gentler than in previous vintages the wine is lush, plush, and mouth-filling, the hole or shortness is gone, and now it is everything I want in a wine, though the weight has not filled out and I think this is just a lighter wine but the tannins are draping and mouth-filling, elegance is clear and the wine is lovely. This is a wine that can be enjoyed earlier than previous vintages, the minerality on this one is off the charts! 2018 is richer and fuller, while 2019 is more elegant, simply stated. Bravo!! Drink from 2022 until 2029, if you want it now, decant for 5 hours or take a glass, close it and enjoy it the next day.

The nose of this wine is lovely, showing ripe peach, apricot, citrus, straw, hay, dried grass, white floral notes, nectarines, and melon. The mouth of this medium-bodied wine is lovely, layered, focused, and rich, showing intense acidity, saline, refreshing, orange zest, Orangina drink, tart pink grapefruit, lovely precision, mineral, hay, and tart melon, just lovely! The finish is long, tart, and somewhat ripe, showing more yellow fruit, but also incredibly well balanced and tart with more citrus, saline, lime, hay, and wet rock. Just lovely! Drink now!

This wine was left for dead by me but it has had a resurrection! Shocked!!!
Wow, what a lovely wine, this wine is 100% Chenin Blanc aged 10 months in oak barrels. Right now it is a bit closed on opening, give it a few hours or decant.
The nose of this wine is pure heaven, but it is slow to open, once it does, the wine is lovely with loads of floral notes, yellow flowers, orange blossom, rosehip, and lovely white fruit, pear, peach, and smoke/toast.
The mouth on this medium-bodied wine is lovely, with great acidity, clear and present, with layers of sweet and dry fruit, with candied and toasted almonds, hazelnuts, hay, and straw, followed by floral notes, tart melon, lemongrass, citrus galore, yellow apple, quince, baked apple, and dry grass and earth, lovely! The finish is long, dry, tart, and butterscotch-laden, with toast, smoke, ginger, and marzipan, Bravo!! Drink until 2024.

This wine is the second of the Dor wines, and it is 100% Tempranillo. Wow what a nose, this wine is a real joy. The nose starts with a lovely and impressive redolence, showing rich smoke, roasted animal, with tar and asphalt, that gives way to dark fruit and red cherry. The mouth is really layered and rich with great acidity and focus, showing beautiful and crazy balance and elegance, with mouth coating tannin and dark chocolate and rich spices, while coming at you in layers of balanced fruit, acid, and a fruit focus that really grabs your attention. The finish is rich and layered and lovely, with green notes and garrigue, along with massive mounds of graphite and mineral galore. Bravo. Drink from 2020 until 2025.

"The nose on this wine is classically New Zealand in style, cat piss, green notes, gooseberry, passion fruit, fresh cut grass, and bright fruit all over the place.
The mouth on this medium-bodied wine is lovely, showing nice flint notes, smoke, rock, saline, gooseberry, lemongrass, guava, lychee, and crazy acid, that comes at you in waves, so much fun!
The finish on this wine shows more saline, rock, flint, smoke, mineral, gooseberry, freshly cut grass, and intense acid, so much fun!!! BRAVO!! Drink until 2024."

How I miss the wines of old from Capcanes - ripe, old-world, controlled, beautiful, such a shame that they threw this approach away.
The nose on this wine is a smoke monster, with great fruit focus, earth, and lovely currant, tar, dirt, loam, and cherry.
The mouth on this medium-plus-bodied wine is lovely and well-balanced, showing rich acidity, and nice mouth-drying tannin, while being fruit focused, and richly extracted.
The mouth comes at you but the layers are slightly less focused, with dark raspberry, dark cherry, and earth, mineral, graphite, scraping mineral, rich spice, roasted herb, and coca cola.
The finish is long and green, showing its hand with a deeply mineral-based focus, with red fruit leather, spice, green notes, roasted herb, coffee galore, and tart red fruit. Lingering long. Drink until 2025.

The wine has evolved over the past few years, the nose now shows rich mushrooms, sweet oak, and ripe fruit are still here, but that will fade with time, with green notes, sweet earth, foliage, garrigue, and mineral.
The mouth on this medium-bodied wine is nicely layered, but the graphite/mineral/and rich mouth-drying tannin take center stage, with roasted meat, mushroom, sweet oak, and black fruit filling out the mouth, showing blackberry, sweet raspberry, cassis, and dried plum, with tobacco, nice extraction, and more earth.
The finish is long and mineral-focused, with rich herb, foliage, forest floor, menthol, and scraping graphite that gives way to almond paste, nuts, and slate. Nice! Drink until 2026.

When I bought this wine long ago, it was not a Pinot Noir it was a lovely wine and a great QPR WINNER. Now, the wine has turned into a true Pinot Noir!
The nose of this wine is now varietally true, with mushrooms, tart sour cherry, forest floor, ripe blackberry, earth, and nice red fruit. The mouth on this medium-bodied wine is well balanced, with good acid, showing nice dirt, fresh loam, earth, and rich mushroom, that gives way to more great acid, ripping tannin focus, with great layers and nice concentration, a new world take on an old world wine, with great vanilla, cedar, lovely coffee, and spices, warm spices, cinnamon, cloves, with more rich barnyard and mushroom, and nutmeg. Bravo! Drink until 2025

WOW! This wine has really evolved since my last tasting. This is EVERYTHING I crave in a Chardonnay, with lovely funk, mineral, slate, heavy flint, matchstick, green apple, Asian pear, honeysuckle, and lovely smoke, wow! The minerality is great!

The mouth on this wine is lovely, the mouthfeel has filled out nicely, and the minerality is still psycho, with saline galore and slate, and lovely acid, great gooseberry, lovely searing acid with fun tart fruit.
The finish is long and green and mineral-laden with saline and slate and crazy tart and elegant fruit. Drink until 2024

OK, at the start this wine is so oak-driven I stopped drinking it! After a few days of air, in the fridge, the wine relaxed its oak leanings and the fruit had a chance to shine. The fruit of pear, apple, mango, and spice were evident, with nice oak (at that time), and good minerality, and of course, great acidity! Drink by 2026

The nose on this wine is lovely and ripe with blue and red fruit, with hints of black fruit with crazy notes of soy sauce, root beer, and crazy smoke, and lovely roasted meat. The mouth on this rich and layered full-bodied wine hits you with crazy sweet dill, the intense oak notes are a thing of the past, with rich blueberry, ripe and juicy raspberry, strawberry with lovely extraction, layers of sweet and controlled fruit, showing sweet herb, lovely black forest berry, menthol, with sweet mushroom and garrigue. The finish is long sweet, and really fun, with sweet tobacco, roasted espresso, rich dark chocolate, mint, more soy sauce, menthol, and sweet herbs. Bravo. Drink from until 2034. Lovely nose with great sweet spices, intense mushroom aromas, sheer joy, heavenly earth and loam, and lovely oak, backed by nice dark fruit, tart, and refreshing while also being elegant.
The mouth of this medium-bodied wine is lovely, and very refreshing, with tart acidity, a nice fruit, and acid-focused attack, showing a nice tannic approach now at peak and will hold for another couple of years, with great tart red fruit, dark cherry, plum, classical in style with spice, plush, fully integrated, yet still bracing acidity, mushroom and leather, green notes, and nice acid that gives way to coffee, and tart zesty currant.
The finish is long and tart, with great foliage, spice, tilled earth, minerality, and more mushroom/forest floor, that brings it all together. Bravo! Drink by 2024.

I find this wine far more balanced than previous vintages and it shows in the score. This wine is closed at the start and needs time, but with a few hours of air, it starts to open. The nose on this wine is lovely, it shows blue and black fruit, sheer elegance and balance, with elegant smoke and toast, but also nice fruit, with loam, lovely violet, and floral notes, and good roasted herb. The mouth on this full-bodied wine is plush, rich, layered, and elegant, with nice fruit-focus, well balanced with great acidity, black pepper, roasted meat, blackberry, ripe boysenberry, mineral, saline, soy sauce, and mushroom, with mouth draping tannin. WOW! This wine has quite the nose, screaming with fresh orange blossom, ripe yellow grapefruit, with hints of nectarines, cat pee, and lovely citrus. The mouth on this unoaked Sauvignon Blanc is dry, bone dry, not quite a Sancerre, but impressive, with lovely weight, and great fruit focus with a crazy core of acid that keeps going long after the wine is gone, followed by rich mineral, slate, saline galore, and a lovely core of lie and lemon that mingle well and play with each other. The finish is long, crazy long, with more mineral, floral notes, lovely bitter notes of citrus pith, and just fun, tart citrus that lingers forever. BRAVO!!! Drink till 2023

I keep coming around to the idea that this wine, the 2016 and 2017 vintages, needs a year to come together, the 2016 vintage is screaming great now.
The nose is a basket of ripe but well-controlled fruit, with great white blossom, honeysuckle, with honeyed fruit, with great honeyed notes and melon. The mouth on this medium to full-bodied wine is mouth draping, with great richness, followed by ripe melon, citrus, with green apple, lovely rich salinity, with great mineral, sweet notes in the background, with great tart and incredible saline and weight of apple, pear, melon and grapefruit, with mineral and crazy hay and straw with slate. The finish is long and green, acidic and rich mineral and lovely weight and fresh and tart lychee. Lovely! Drink by 2023

This is less sharp than the 2010 or the 2008 vintage. This is a bit more fat but the acidity is bracing and it does come together nicely. The nose on this sparkling wine is tart and ripe, with beautiful notes of peach, apple, and citrus, with brioche. The mouth on this medium-bodied wine has a big upfront mousse of small bubbles, with lovely citrus and grapefruit, backed by apples, and gooseberry, and more citrus, with lime backing slate, more brioche, and lovely saline that lingers long, with lemongrass, and a lovely tart, refreshing mouthfeel, with lemon/lime, saline, and mousse lingering long. Bravo!! Drink by 2025.

This wine is not one for the ages like its bigger brothers, the vintage Blanc de Blancs. Still, this wine has evolved and is finally coming into its own. It is no longer lemon juice with bubbles. It is now a lovely and evolved sparkling wine.
The nose on this wine is lovely with yeast and citrus, with heather, and lovely floral notes. This wine is nice, and it finally is showing complexity, with the obvious citrus now calming down, and instead, we get a balance of quince, nuts, yeast, with sweet pear, all backed by citrus, grapefruit, dried lemon, with herb, with great small bubble mousse, with a full-throat attack of fruit and mousse. The finish is long, tart, and green, with great citrus, and loads of yeast, and a nice creamy mouthfeel, nice! Drink by 2023.

This wine has changed, and so much more for the better, bravo as usual to Pierre! Please be careful, this wine is not ready for showtime, the acidity does not come out until at least 8 hours of bottle air time, please do not be careless with this wine! Also, do NOT drink this wine from the fridge, please let the wine come to almost room temperature, much akin to red wine.
After many hours, the nose of this wine is showing beautifully, a lovely Roussanne, earth, mineral, rich brightness, sweet floral notes, straw, yellow plum, lanolin, almonds, walnuts, and apple. The mouth of this full-bodied wine is layered, rich, and nicely extracted, with piercing acidity, showing a rich oily structure, with layers of green apple, quince, lovely richness, with mineral, grass, straw, and lovely acidity showing lovely with flowers, and rich lemongrass. The finish is crazy good, showing lovely acidity, rich heather, hints of smoke, loads of mineral, straw, dry grass, and quince lingering super long, with acidity, and loam!! BRAVO!!!! Drink until 2025.
