Very opulent and rich nose, showing signs of maturity. Heavy on the oak, but not overpowering. Overall very nice to drink and not yet peaked.

Beginning to show some maturity, although still primarily fruit driven.

Incredibly muted initially, after decanting the wine slowly opened up over the course of 24 hours. Still, remarkably neutral aroma and the fruit has to be forcefully coaxed out of the glass. What I found is some discreet red fruit and new oak. Acidity and tannins are medium- at most. This makes the wine a bit unstructured to me unfortunately, and even though I get a bit more complexity out of the nose on day 2, the wine was barely holding together by now. A bit of a disappointment really, and I can’t help but getting the impression of subpar fruit with some expensive new oak slapped on to it and two fancy names to boot.

Initially quite closed, but opens up nicely after just an hour or two. Notes of green pepper and violet in addition to dark fruits and ample bramble. Acidity and tannins are both high and the wine is beatifully structured and obviously built for the long haul. Can’t wait to drink my three remaining bottles after a decade in the wine cellar.

Notes of green apples and also showing some signs of maturity, ie almonds, brioche and honey. Firm acidity but not overwhelming. Nice and tasty, but it doesn’t blow my mind.

Notes of marzipan, saffron and honey. Sweet but with plenty of acidity to balance. Complex and definitely reaching full maturity. Very tasty!

Complex aroma with violets, strawberries and herbs. Medium- acidity. Medium- tannins. A wine that puts a smile on your face. Every time. Drink now, not really built for a long haul.

Shows black currant initially. Medium acidity and tannins. Opens up after several hours and shows some tertiary notes, but nothing exceptional. This is a wine that you really need to coax the flavours out of. Not seeing greatness right now, not really expecting it down the line either as the fruit is not quite up to snuff.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), medium toast, oak and mineral. It tastes like black currant (cassis), mineral, medium toast and oak. The body is medium. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

2015 vintage, consumed 2021. Some age showing in the rim. Notes of violet and sandalwood. Medium plus acidity, medium tannins. Some tertiary notes beginning to show, fruit is beginning to change and is showing dried cherries. Very nice.
