3 hours open. Flat and lacking fruit. Vivino for full notes but it’s just not a good grape on this vintage

Tastes like the 2012: disappointing. Not worth more than $30 a bottle

this was after a 3 hour car ride from a magnum and I was shocked how good it was. Had a 750 earlier in the year and the fruit was muted - wine tasted more masculine and subdued. This was classic Rutherford. See vivino

Very soft, no complexity, but balanced. Could age longer but why. Overpriced. Open 2 hours

See vivino but this can hold for a few more years depending on storage conditions. Amazingly good for an 11

Open 4 hours but still too acidic. Would score higher otherwise. See vivino for notes

This is a rating on potential - drinking 95 or so now but in 10 years this will be excellent. 2 hours open, rich red fruit, cream, milk chocolate, long finish. Sad that Ed is closing up shop - getting my hands on as much as I can get.

Not great. Should be $20. Opened 2 hours, lacking fruit. Had next day as well and still one dimensional.

Notes on Vivino. I come here every now and again when things are spectacular or total trash to make sure I add my dose of survey bias.

This was stellar. Better than their estate.

After the off year of 2015, the 2016 is back in force.

Would easily put this up against $300+ Napa royalty in a blind taste test. Peter doesn't submit his wines for review, which is a shame, but also great for customers

Most of my ratings are on Vivino.

This needs 4 hours to open. At least.

Andrew Geoffrey grapes.

Very rich, long finish.

No real experience with Sauternes but this was amazing. Apricot, crème brûlée, just so well done.

This was incredible. First time for the winery and was really impressed. Nose was about average but the integration was on point. We tasted over 2-3 hours but would try 4-6 next time since there was still some heat that could be leveled off.

Can age for another decade i expect. Loam, bay leaf, dark fruit, crushed gravel. Very well done.

this is a great wine. Not sure how people are giving this < 90 point ratings. Needs 2 hours open, and it starts singing.

I mostly post on Vivino but come here for the more obscure wines that need some love

This was a legit wine. Still holding strong with great fruit, depth, and finish.

Tasted on the hour for 4 hours and it was fantastic. What a steal for $35. If I find more of the 2010 I'd buy it: the wine will hold up well for at least 5 more years if stored well.

Meh, apparently the non-reserve retails for $175, which I'd consider a crime.

The wine had more earthy notes, reminiscent of an Italian varietal. Balanced with elevated acids, not much follow on, fruit, or depth, frankly.

Opened for 2 hours and drank over two days just to ensure I didn't miss something.

Not worth more than $30 a bottle.

Excellent wine. Opened for 2 hours and stellar. Full fruit, long finish, very robust; this is my style of cab. Ed snider can really make wine. Tastes like beau vigne estate.

Lightweight, no nose. More like Caymus or far niente than a bold cab.

Bleh, had next to the 08. All tannin and earth, no fruit or lingering complexity. Reminded me of Delectus cabs which are one dimensional.

Would not pay more than $20 for this.

Ok, fairly flat when it came to fruit integration and depth. Dry and not overly well balanced. Drinks like a $35 bottle

App crashed, but this is a less bodied AG than I’m used to. Most AG are easily over 95, with a few years being near 100 points in my book.

Well integrated, just not as robust as expected for $400. Plenty of fruit and aroma but lacks the depth justifiable for the price point. Worth about $60

Yummmm. Everything was firing on this bad boy - loads of flavor and tannins that go on for days. Well balanced, so many fruit flavors and layers. Top notch. Too bad the winery burned down.

This was showing beautifully. I'd have to grab specific notes from Vivino, but it was rich, bold, and tannins were on point. Not a lightweight cab by any means, this thing was going strong.

Big, juicy cab with lots of mouthfeel and aftertaste.

I don't know how this wine continues to be rated so low. Yes, I love buying it at $85 a bottle, but this has won out in blind taste tests against 98+ RP wines. The more impressive accomplishment, IMO, is how consistent this wine is year after year - I have never had an AG that I'd rate less than 94 points, and that includes the 2011 which was a notoriously bad year in Napa.

The nose is amazing - so many profiles I cannot even begin to describe it. This is a full, big, bad, juicy cab - my preferred style, not a lithe, questionably-pinot cab like Caymus or Silver Oak. Tannins linger for minutes.

AG is on par with Beau Vigne Reserve, which has been rated 100 by RP (and also a steal relative to his other 100-pt wines). I would put AG above many wines I've had in the $3-$500 range - Opus One, Insignia, Dana Estates, Colgin, MacDonald, and a few others that while good, are overpriced.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle.

Really overrated, like Caymus and silver oak. Light cab with nowhere near the complexity the price tag suggests. Scent is promising after 2 hours open but it misses the depth expected for the reviews. Some folks said it was better on day 2 but I’m not waiting that long to consume a bottle.

Lots of sediment in my bottle. There were decent notes of fruit and nutmeg but the second and third acts were totally missing as the tannins fell out. I would recommend drinking whatever you have of this vintage ASAP. This is not getting better / more integrated
