This is rich velvet beast. It has depth, length and complexity. It is just coming into is drinkability window. Dark fruits, inky, chalk-infused black fruits, plums, a hint of tobacco, and heavy weight. Built for the long-haul. Held its own on Thanksgiving with my slow-cooked herb turkey, home-made gravy, purple sweet potatoes with coconut milk, yams with spices, Brussel sprouts with bacon, home-made rolls, mashed potatoes and sweet cranberries. This is a beast of a wine. If you want it big, drink it now. If you want it to mellow and bring out more nuance, wait 5 more years. Either way, it was great for Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving 2021!!
