Popped the last of my bottles not expecting too much after earlier disappointments, but was happy to find a wine that had finally settled into itself. The sangiovese element was dominant but pleasantly offset by the cabernet. Tannins still sat in the background but overall the wine was rounder and more integrated.

As a twelve dollar mid-weeker this was really very tasty. Wish I had more.

This my second bottle of four. The first I drank a year ago and felt it needed to wait a while. However, the ubiquity of grapes in the blend still seems entirely unresolved - and I had the bottle open three days before I felt I wanted to drink it. I'll try again in another year or two.

Big, deep colored cab that is very distinctly Washington. Smooth and easy drinking despite its weight. At five years old this one's still a baby. Good value for the $21 I paid for it.

Slightly odd wine this. A cab-merlot 50/50 mix, it has a pleasant nose with a little touch of vanilla first up. It then draws the palate forward with smooth cab-merlot fruity insinuations before coming to a unexpected and jarring halt - a screechy, tannic, burnt rubber kind of an emergency stop. Like having my drink snatched away from me just as I was waiting for its length to kick in and leaving me only with residue. As I say, odd.

Well crafted wine with a distinct sense of Red Mountain terroir - a gentle, rounded sweetness underneath the Cabernet fruit. Still some tannin showing but this is coming nicely into its window.

A pleasant lightness and balance from a wine old enough to be comfortably settled into itself. Eminently quaffable.

Lovely, soft fruit that was approachable right from opening. Undertones of strawberry compote and very little in the way of acid. Surprising for a wine so young. My first taste of Sandler has left me keen to try more.
