Pnp with the neighbors - 3rd bottle of the evening. On Pnp was a bit tight and grippy with tannins - as it aired in glass more red razzleberry on the nose (slightly burned maybe). Nicely drinkable and Med body Dark almost purple color in glass.

I enjoyed this Merlot from Diamond Mountain - had med plus body, deep purple color; nice red fruit blue fruit and cedar nose, tannins were consistent fairly sharp but with decent hang time. Cork was soft on top half and the screw just pulled right thru it, so I quickly backed the cork screw out and grabbed the AhSo which successfully removed the cork. No taint or oxidation as the cork was soft only on the top half and it was sealed under a wax cap.

Enjoyed this with the winos down the street; this is a Petit Verdot based Bordeaux blend coming out of Santa Barbara County. Nice red fruit on the nose and tannins were soft. It's not super complex, but it's very alluring - perfect for a good time with friends.

Have enjoyed a bottle or two of Taken over the last several years; even after the sale of the company, this wine remains a great drinkable weekday and dinner party wine. Pared this with a fillet and roasted broccoli. Previous CT notes resonate, with some cedar notes on the nose and red fruit on the palate with tennis that soften.

Surprised by the fruit forward nature of this wine with dry short and concise tannins. Surprisingly drinkable on pnp and got smoother with air in glass.

Definitely one of the heavier PN in their line up. Not as elegant or refined fruit as many PN's; it's heavier on the baking spice and mineral side of palate; dark blue and red fruit on nose with spice on the nose.

This has a nice dark purple plumb color with medium legs. The bouquet was baked strawberry and tart cherry with back notes of chocolate, the tannins were balanced and silky smooth, medium to lighter body, with red fruit and baked black fruit flavors being most pronounced. Very easy drinking or dare I say quaffable wine that brings a smile to your face.

Pnp and after just a bit of air in the glass the alcohol evaporated and the soft red fruit with back end of ripe tomato with soft tannins took over and made for an enjoyable drink.

From winemakers notes: Aromas of pear and lemon zest enchant the senses before pink grapefruit and almond enrich the palate, with a touch of mineralogy completing the picture on this hand crafted, stylish Italian varietal. nice balance of crisp, refreshing acidity and light fruit aromas. All rang true to description! 89+

We had this after a sushi dinner and was so happy the tannins were soft yet defined and lots of dark fruit and light red fruit. Delicious.

From Wineries website: Dark, dreamy, and complex, this Touriga will leave your mouth watering. Showcasing heavy earthy tones with tobacco and baked fruits. --- 100% touriga nacional. For me: the nose was spicy - peppery with some baking spices, fruit coming thru with aeration of blueberry and bittersweet cocoa.

Very young - didn’t decant - red fruit - strawberry - tannins In back - as it opened it grew in complexity texture balance and tannins evened out. Will be delicious in a couple years or more.
