Excellent flavors, mouth feel and body. Not a great finish. An intense but unrefined wine, mostly due to the soil type. I liked it and would not hesitate to drink again.

Nothing wrong with this wine. Good daily drinker at a great price. Not sure why some have rated it so low.

Soft and subtle start, black currants prevalent, with a stronger fruit finish. Very intricate flavor profile. Excellent with this year's Thanksgiving turkey.

Vanilla and tobacco. Lighter body. Great QPR. We bought this in Paris at the grocery for 3 euros. Very nice.

I agree from below with the following comments:

Great big foodie wine/needs some air to come together/Clean mouthfeel/First nose is almost French barnyard/bursting with ripe fruit

I like it and, fortunately still have 5 left.

My friend described This as a 'dirty Sauvignon Blanc'. It was meant as a compliment. We liked it and would buy more. We bought this from Drago direct at the vineyard. Beautiful winery in Istria, Croatia.

surprisingly pleasant. I was bracing for the worst and thought for sure we had hung on too long to this. Very drikable.

jammy. a bit uneven. settles a little bit after some air. I probably would pass on this same vintage but I know that Bookcliff are making good wine. Definitely would not give up on them.

Finally past it's prime. This one we did pour out. A lot of bottle variation for this wine over the years.

High fruit. Intoxicating nose. a bit thin and light for a merlot but pretty darn good! I would highly recommend.

Great leathery nose. Probably held onto it too long but it's not showing signs of past it's prime. The finish was harsh. Not bad. I would call it overpriced.

Yes, surprisingly improving. The first bottle a few years ago was almost undrinkable. Glad I let them sit rather then pour down the drain.

Wow! Sat for 30 minutes and started gulping! The nose! The nose! Pepper, currants, berries. Mouth feel was excellant. It's been 30 minutes and I can still taste the finish. Loved it. Had it with barbecued pizza. red sauce, egg plant, cheese and basil. Great wine.

Lovely. Popped and waited 1.5 hours. Berry and leather on the nose. medium high alcohol. Definitely one of the western slopes best grape varietals handled very well by Reeder Mesa. Grapes were sourced from Mesa Park ( their 09 Cab Franc Reserv is a 90 pointer). Would definitely buy this again.

Drank with an elaborate BLT. Nice. Took an hour or so to open up but once it did had an excellent mouth feel and nice finish. The noise was constrained but I got hints of oak, leather and pepper. I would definitely buy this again.

eh! Not sure where these 88 to 94's are coming from. 94? Not much going on without food and little going on with. This is a mediocre wine at best. Bad new is I have 3 bottles left.

Excellent! I'm liking it start to finish. Approaching 90 but not quite there. Intriguing nose, nice mouth feel, finish is not special but not flawed. Highly recommended for the value. 3 bottles left and I will be sad to see this go.

I would love to give this wine a 85 or under rating. Why? So I could run out and buy every bottle that was not bought due to that. 50% Mourvedre, 50% Syrah Solid wine with a great QPR.
