From the winemaker:

The nose on this dark magenta wine has beautiful high notes of raspberry and mineral. The well-structured body is supple in the front, showing notes of cassis and earth throughout the palate. The long, textured finish is frames by strong tannins.

Drink now through 2038.

From the winemaker:

A deeply violet wine that overflows with raspberry, cassis and cocoa notes. It is textured with many layers showing flavors that range from all-spice to dark fruit. The finish is long and brimming with the bright acidity and supple tannins that are indicative of Red Mountain.

Enjoy this wine from now until 2044.

Very rich for DDO (because 2009) though the balance of fruit, acid and oak is still spot on. I normally enjoy Laurene at 20+ years, but this is likely peak because of the vintage. Boysenberry and ripe strawberry, dried herb, a little wet stone. Super delicious.

1.5L
Wonderful expression of mature WA cab. The only detractor is the heat of 2009 shows up as slightly stewed fruit. Overall delicious, drink now.
Red
Shared at a party, no tasting notes in the chaos. Decanted and disappeared quickly, feedback was very positive.
Red
Perfectly aged daily drinker. Very mellow, lovely.
Red
No detailed notes. Super tasty, peak drinking.

Vertical of 2004, 2005, 2006.

This 2006 was the biggest, richest of the three; similar to the 2005 but a notch bolder. Loads of dark fruit, mellowed oak, super long finish. Peak drinking.

Vertical of 2004, 2005, 2006.

This 2005 is a monster wine, similar to the 2006. Lots of dark fruit, mellowed oak, super long finish. Peak drinking.
Red
Vertical of 2004, 2005 and 2006.

This 2004 was notably the most mature and probably nearing the end of peak drinking. Great structure, oak present and fully integrated, fruit is hanging in there, wonderful example of aged Washington vino.
Red
1.5L. Really in its sweet spot right now, beautifully mellow with loads of fruit and a finish that last forever.
White - Sweet/Dessert
In good shape, drinking a little drier than other vintages but paired nicely with cheese.

Part of a holiday dinner lineup. No notes but I recall this was wonderful, probably in the middle of its drinking window.

2008 Long Shadows Wineries Pirouette Columbia Valley Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
1.5L - Absolutely amazing, excellent balance, wine of the night alongside Quilceda Creek and Figgins.
Red
No detailed notes, needed about 2 hours to open up and delicious.
Red
No detailed notes. In its prime right now, delicious.
White - Sweet/Dessert
Deep gold in the glass, this is really coming into its own now. Not as sticky sweet as other LH/botrytis bottlings in France and elsewhere, this is excellent paired with a mildly sweet dessert like a crisp or a tart. Just starting to reach the caramel stage, this will stick around for another decade or more.
Red
Enjoyed as a 5 bottle vertical (1999-2003) of Champoux and CV. This was the standout of the night. A perfect balance of fruit and aged character, this is in a sweet spot now but could go another five years if looking for more fruit leather.
Red
Enjoyed as a 5 bottle vertical (1999-2003). The 2002 was one of the fresher bottles with plenty of primary fruit still present. Maybe not as intriguing as the other vintages, but it holds its own as an outstanding aged cab.
Red
Outstanding after 22 years - don’t underestimate a well made Washington cab.
Red
From a 5 bottle vertical (1999-2003) of Champoux and CV, this was a standout. Slightly cloudy in the glass, plenty of fruit and a touch of sweet up front, then into secondary notes of dried cherry and leather. Delicious.
Red
Still rocking after 24 years. Took about 30 minutes to open up, dark fruit and tobacco lead the way. Started to fade after about 5 hours, super enjoyable.
Red
1.5L - The nose is excellent with dusty earth, tobacco and dark fruit. The fruit starts muted but opens up after an hour, then slowly fades. Drink now and enjoy.
Red
I had to adjust expectations for this. I was expecting it to be fresher at this age, but it was quite mature. Drank like a 2007, delicious and drink now. Dark fruit on a soft core.
Red
Probably just starting to come into a drinking window. Plenty of red fruit—raspberry and tart cherry—and medium-high acid. The oak is starting to integrate and tannins resolving.

A bold, but still squarely Oregon, pinot.
Red
1.5L Same notes, still drooling delicious.
White
No detailed notes. Wonderful if a little tame, more fragrant with an hour of air. Probably at the beginning of peak drinking window, very enjoyable with Indian cuisine.
Red
Started out quite tame with little fruit but still balanced, and opened up over two hours. Drink now, good example of aged Washington at 15 years.
Red
Beautiful at this stage, excellent structure, improves with 2-3 hours of air.

Last bottle, still holding strong, delicious. Drink now.

2012 Fidelitas Magna Champoux Vineyard Horse Heaven Hills Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
No detailed notes, casual dinner with friends. This is incredibly delicious with rich, mature fruit and soft tannins. In a great spot, drink now.
White
Petrol is starting to appear, luscious fruit, great balance of sweet and acid. Extremely good, plenty of evolution ahead.
Red
No notes, however this was DELICIOUS. In the zone to enjoy now, plenty of time to develop for secondary flavors.
Red
Purchased direct from winery at library sale, this is beyond delicious. Rich mature fruit core, plenty of acid, just enough oak to add structure. So good at 20 years!

PnP and shared, limited notes. Inviting bouquet, palate is a bit over extracted and dry. Enjoyable but not great.
Red
Wonderfully lean style. Crunchy earth and red and black fruit that opened up nicely with a couple hours of air. Enjoyed with pizza.

Big wine from a not big vintage. Oak up front and fruit that mostly steps up. Perfectly good and fits the LS profile, but other years are more rounded.

I am a fan of aged Ethos but did not appreciate this vintage for the merlot. Overripe, stemmy cooked fruit, low acid. Meh.

Much better than the bottle a year ago. Decanted in bottle for an hour and enjoyed over two hours. Probably on the backside of peak, but still delicious. Mature nose and palate, strong dark and blue fruit with fine tannins.

Slight TCA that affected the nose, but it was still enjoyable with plenty of life left and in a good place now.

19 years later… this is in a perfect place. Enioyed over 3 hours. Nose is dusty dark fruit, palate is powerful and mature. Was expecting this to be good, but it was great.

REALLY mellowed out from an overbearing wine in its youth to a mature, pleasant rocks syrah. Overdelivered.

Soft and sweet with red fruit. Really enjoyable, but missing some of the funk that other Trisaetum PNs capture. Drink now.
Red
No detailed notes. This was an excellent pop n pour that opened up over a couple hours. Plenty of dark fruit, tannins fully resolved, a touch heavy on the oak but not distracting.
