Came across a 1.5 L bottle of this on a trip to California and was pleasantly surprised with the uniqueness of the wine. Distinctive notes of menthol, mint, campfire and a very long finish. Drank alongside a 2018 Amici Reserve Cab and the merlot kicked butt.

8/1/21, 9:14 PM - I hope to see some notes on the Amici. Fantastic merlot; I got hints of cashmere cypress with apple and grape undertones. 1.5L bottles are always a fun experience.

First d’Yquem. Notes of orange peel, Carmel, honey and citrus. Paired with buffalo wings, blue cheese and brûlée mango cake. Unbelievable complexity paired with an unending finish makes for a great wine.

8/16/20, 6:53 PM - Interesting review. I think this is the first 100 point rating from you. Must’ve been a fantastic bottle! I paired the same bottle with scallops and they complemented each other very well. You should try it next time! Maybe even a French tart!
