I've had a good bottle of this wine, some 6 months ago, but this example is just a brown sediment soup. Dead

Agree with previous comments, there's definately an oxydation problem with this wine. Bottle #1 had a deep golden color and was totally oxydised, thus undrinkable. Bottle #2 shows very well. The color is light golden, it shows a nice interplay between citrus fruit and mineral aromas. In the mouth it is well balanced and really fresh. The highlight is its finish, which lasts surprisingly long, 40 seconds at least.

Last bottle, unfortunately. After 9 years it appears quite youthfull: the color is straw yellow. It shows a very intense mineral aroma with that typical smoky impression, along with tropical fruits. In the mouth it is crisp, yet balanced, showing huge concentation of mineral and zingy fruit aromas. The finish is equally intense. Could hold many more years, very very good.

Beautiful amber color. The aroma offers very sweet yellow fruits and honey counterbalanced by some mineral impressions. In the mouth it is well balanced, caramel-like, shows abundant botrytis aromas. The finish is very long. An outstading wine.

The color has darkened a little, the wine has lost some of it's zesty character. It has developed into a cocktail of sweet exotic fruit aromas. Still very drinkable.

The color is straw-yellow. The aroma shows pineapple, banana, melon, along with honeyed and floral notes. In the mouth it is surprisingly fresh, not that flabby feeling you'll find in many 2003's (the heat wave year). It is a pleasure to sense all those different flavours, while the retro-aromas slowly build up to great intensity. The finish is really long. Excellent.

The Color is quite youthful straw-yellow. No sign of oxydation. At first it shows grapefruit, honey and nutty, oaky aromas. After 3-4 hours, the fruit aromas intensify and turn into something more exotic, like passion fruit and gooseberry. In the mouth it is well balanced, the texture gets more and more oily with time. The kind of wine you want to play around with in your mouth, offering ever changing flavours. The finish is long, notably echoing the exotic fruit aroma. No need to wait any longer, drink now.

Day#1 The color is light-golden indicating the wine has reached maturity. The aroma offers gooseberry, dry fruits and oaky notes. The palate is ok, but lacks a bit of focus. The finish is not particularly long. Charming because of it's mature aromas but starting to decline.
Day#2 (served a little colder) Surprisingly it seems better on the 2nd day, with more fruit expression and less oak. Would rate it 1-2 points higher now.

The color is medium ruby, the rim is pink. After showing it's tanin backone on day#1, the wine is more open on day#2. The aroma is dominated by abundant red fruits, notably cherry, along with earthy notes. The mouth is well balanced, while a certain grip remains. The finish is medium-long and echoes the cherry aroma. Much less severe than i expected from a 1999, it will profit from a few more years of cellaring but it is drinking surprisingly well today.

The color is very dark garnet, turning slightly brick-red on the rim. A dark wine, not only because of it's color but also because of it's aroma profile. First impression was like a 'Cahors', lots of licorice and dark fruits. After a while in the glass, the fruit intensified, notes of tobacco, spice and dark chocolate emerged. (Wished there was a little less licorice and a little more fruit)
The palate is very concentrated, yet balanced, from attack to finish. It literally explodes on the palate, leading to a really long finish. Very very nice

The color is medium garnet, the rim is pink. It shows dark berries, dried fruit and plenty of tobacco notes. The mouth is well rounded, with medium body, no noticable tannins. The finish echoes the tobacco character. Drinking well now.

From the heat wave year 2003. The color is light straw-yellow,the wine shows floral aromas, honey and orange peel.
The palate lacks acidity, the finish is short. Drink up.

The color is light-garnet, the rim is pink. Gorgeous red fruits aromas ooze out of the glass, along with earthy notes. The palate is balanced, red fruits again, noticable acidity. The finish is pretty tight. This is starting to drink well. Very good villages wine, considering the vintage.

This has finally settled down. The color is dark garnet, it offers dark fruit and spicy aromas. The palate still has a lot of grip, but the tannins are sufficiently rounded now. A severe wine to drink on it's own but it worked well with Ierbessebulli (a pea soup with sausages, salt meat and bacon). Best bottle so far, which makes me believe this will easily hold another 5 years or so.

Suspect deep golden color. Oxidized, barely drinkable
