This BdB is made from Chardonnay which was planted in 1963, the year I was born. It was a nice present for my 60th birthday and we love the fresh yet mouth filling taste. Zero dosage, spontaneous fermentation, no malo, no filtration, the bottle was degorged 01/2022.

I usually don’t like Californian Chardonnays available in Austria (too much power and oak for my taste), but this is a real nice, well balanced one, comes near to Burgundy style.

This bottle was amazing, nearly no signs of aging, fullbody, fresh acidity. We drunk the first glass in blind tasting and thought this wine is maybe 3 years old. Can stay several years more.

Had a very light chenin blanc as a first glass and wanted to have similar taste but stronger. This blend from CB, Viognier and Chardonnay was the right choice. Very mineralic, not much fruit but nice spices.

Aged nicely, still a bit of fruit in the nose and on the palate, but mostly mineralic with fresh herbs. Tastes much younger than you would expect from a 2015.

A lot of times a ‚vino della Casa’ in Italy has a slight bubbling what makes it very refreshing. This wine has a slight bubbling taste too, although you cannot see bubbles. At the same time it‘s quite rich and not too fruity. Interesting to explore, I liked it quite a lot.

Though 14.5 alcohol a rather elegant PN with some terroir notes, the kind of PN we usually prefer. Fruity notes but too less to distinguish what exactly, nice tannins, mouth filling. We drunk it rather cold, fitted well to sautéed chicken with sesame and soy sauce.

Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Zweigelt, 15 months in Barrique. The bottle tells to drink it between 2011 and 2017… we had it at 2022 and it was the highlight of the evening, very elegant, could even age longer.

Bought 2 bottles back in 2016 for my wife‘s birthday, each for more than 400,- Euro. Opened the first some months later and the cork was wet through and through, the wine was ‚fitting‘ to the cork. Opened the second now and this was one of the best Chateauneuf‘s I ever drunk. Nothing to add to other comments re. taste. But would I buy another bottle? Probably not for that price, I drunk cheaper ones which where as enjoyable as the Da Capo.
