Surprisingly a fine and well evolved win, still a tannic wine, being a barolo with not enough fruit to make a great wine
Typical color, quite burgundian and a fine wine

A very average year and a generic Meursault but still fine, not tired and with the Coche Dury style, including high level of SO2.
A fine wine especially considering the year and the fact it is the generic
Typical meursault, more of a 1er cru than a regular village

A typical 96, quite a high acid level but the fruit was not enough. Good conservation and typical older chardonnay
A fine wine

Not enough fruit for the tannic and acidic side, so getting older meant a thiner wine, a bit hard. Still an fine bottle of wine

Quite dark and deep red, subdued and not very forthcoming for a 2002, but good acidity and nice tannins (it is a Pommard). Too early to drink it.

Chez Bruce, London
It is a perriere, I know, but this vintage did not strike me as being great for this wine. Pure, mineral (very vague word) , very very long but very very narrow, eve the following day.

Full ruby-red. Nice tannins and structure, but as opposed to the other comments I found that it was still restrained and actually not at its best stage, I would advise to wait for a few years (it is my taste).
Enough has been said on the dark fruits, wood, tabacco, mint etc ... Too me it will achieve a better mark in a few years
