5/19/24, 12:11 PM - One bottle a year? How many bottles do you have hahah
5/17/24, 11:42 PM - Out of interest, what's up with the Reynard name?
4/20/24, 9:17 AM - Thanks Seth! Just managed to score some of your 2019 vintage on auction over here in Europe, really happy with that as well :)
3/24/24, 3:52 AM - This doesn't sound too great for how hyped this wine is... a bit worried now!
3/24/24, 6:46 AM - I like that approach very much, it is always good to stay honest!
2/24/24, 11:08 PM - Was denk ik de beste fles Val de Vilaine die ik heb gehad! Thanks nog hiervoor!
12/30/23, 4:12 AM - Thanks for this! I'm sitting on two magnums, so good to know its time to drink up!
12/20/23, 12:21 PM - Goed te horen dat dit beviel; tot morgen!
11/20/23, 11:32 PM - I would think so! Although I tasted some other 2022's from Falkenstein and they did deliver very well!
11/2/23, 12:43 AM - Low to moderate acidity on a Riesling from 2019? Are you sure the sugar wasn't masking it?
10/18/23, 12:32 AM - Thanks for this; I'm sitting on a few bottles of this; will drink up soon I guess!
9/10/23, 11:36 PM - Restaurant Rijsel in Amsterdam... I can 100% recommend them!
8/7/23, 4:57 AM - I paid 99 euro for it (which I think is too much), and indeed in the market it goes for 400+ apparently which is absolutely nuts. For 36 I might try it again, haha! I have tried to find which grape(s) are in this wine, but couldn't really find anything. In any case I think there is (some) Riesling (as well), but also that was very difficult to find.
8/21/23, 11:41 AM - Hi HPJ, it was in a pop-up wine bar in Utrecht, and they had one bottle, so unfortunately that source is totally dried up...
8/17/23, 12:23 AM - I honestly don't remember, someone else prepared the bottles... You could try to double decant, and then store with cork in and taste every so often?
7/7/23, 1:26 PM - That's a hard one to answer. Its really not something to drink now (like many great wines), although it is already lovely. One person's 'wow' bottle may be another person's 'meh' bottle, so I can't really judge that for you...
7/3/23, 7:08 AM - Thanks for the detailed note! I just bought 2 magnums of this, seems like it could be time to open one (although it should have aged less)!
7/3/23, 8:14 AM - I got lucky on an auction and got two each of the Ceras, Botanica and Antikythera (the latter I have never had before); if you're ever around in Amsterdam I'll happily open one for you! And thanks for the advice!
7/3/23, 7:10 AM - I did not unfortunately! Paid 325 euro for this in a restaurant. I think at 470 CHF it's still 'reasonable' (of course depending on everyone's financial circumstances), but nearing the limit of what it is.
7/3/23, 8:09 AM - You can leave that to those b*stards indeed!
5/16/23, 6:23 AM - Good to know... next time someone offers me a glass I'll tell them to hold it for a few more years, hahaha
5/11/23, 6:44 AM - A score of 51 then seems a bit low!
3/5/23, 12:37 AM - An honest mistake it seems!
1/27/23, 4:16 AM - Thanks for providing a tasting note! I managed to grab only one bottle (even though I don't drink hipster wine), so good to know what its like!
1/28/23, 10:59 AM - No such luck, so let the treasure hunt begin!
10/2/22, 3:27 AM - Thanks for your review! I'm sitting on a bottle of this, but will keep it for a bit longer now!
10/2/22, 3:26 AM - Low acidity? That seems very odd for this wine! Perhaps this was an off bottle (although I'm not too sure how that would impact acidity...)?
8/16/22, 8:07 AM - Correct! Perhaps I should try it again!
8/14/22, 11:36 AM - Did you find this bottle was ready to drink, or did it need a lot of air / development?
8/13/22, 8:27 AM - Thanks for providing a review on this; I take it you were happy to drink this now (instead of leaving it to sit for a while)?
8/5/22, 12:30 AM - One of the funniest (and best) tasting notes I've read in a while, haha!
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
