Dark cherry in colour but not inky dark. Nose is pure, pretty intense, but not overly powerful, more fragrant, dark cherry, berry, pure, not much secondary aromas. Full bodied, well balanced (at least when served on the cool side), mellow tannins, decent cherry acidity.

Overall this is a little innocuous. Certainly does not scream Barossa shiraz, but also doesn't scream anything else. I like the balance and the power in the palate, especially since it does not come across as large-scaled, but this lacks complexity that 10 years should bring, I've had a few of these highly rated Parker wine that fails to really impress.
