1/1/2017 - whitmanlholt Does not like this wine:

Opened for New Year's Eve. Right off the bat, the nose seemed off -- very stinky like something rotten or bad farts. In the mouth, the wine was fine and actually pretty nice, bread, spice, nice texture, etc. But the off nose never really went away. I'm not sure if it was a bad bottle, too much SO2, or something else -- never seen this before in a Champagne. Was a disappointment overall since I had read a lot of positive notes/comments about this wine and was looking forward to a nice experience.
