This is excellent. Better day two. Could develop for a few more years!

Solid weeknight pour. But nothing memorable or exciting.

Deep purple ruby (almost opaque). Dark, brambly fruit on the nose. Something floral too — rose or violet? Baking spice and a little forest round the nose out. On opening, the palate showed a ton of oak. But everything came together in the glass after an hour. There’s still structure here. Wine drank even better on day two. There may be a year or two of life left in this one.

Really loved the purity of fruit. Beautiful, structured palate. Would buy a case.

May have been flawed. But there was a bitterness here that turned me off. The next time someone suggests Cru Beaujolais, I’ll probably say thanks but no thanks

Starter wine for Thanksgiving dinner. Fruit forward nose with some yeasty notes. Great balance.

Delicious. Stone fruit, peach, medium to medium-full body and enough acidity. I’d buy this all day everyday at $40.

Not bad. Just not exciting. Muted nose. Super saline on the palate.

Just terrific with Thanksgiving dinner. Beautifully balanced, grippy white. A dry Riesling to convert the skeptics.

Hard to beat this for the price. Concentrated dark fruit, integrated tannin, nice finish. For $15, great value for money.

Great value for money. Fruity and approachable, with just a hint of the lees. Perfect for a casual night at home or to bring to a party.

Good quality. Just not my thing. Felt too much like Russian River and not enough like Tempranillo. Beautiful dark red fruit up front and a whiff of the cola you get from Russian River Pinot. The palate is super silky. Is opulent the right word? A little more acid would have lifted the whole thing.

Love this bottle! Red fruit plus green olive tapenade and green pepper on the nose. The palate is fascinating. Juicy, very little tannin, beautiful, mouthwatering acid. I look forward to trying the Bretons’ other bottling!

Beautiful. Felt like it still had more aging potential. Better the second day. Red fruit, cherry, raspberry, minerally, great acidity and fine grained tannins. The second day dried herbs and loam. Loved it!

The quality is there, just cracked it too soon. Felt one dimensional, with a closed nose (even after an hour in the decanter).

Simple and enjoyable. Killer with pizza. Very fruity with an earthy note on the nose. Great acidity on the palate with a hint of tannin. Dry finish.

Not a lot of wow for the price. Definitely prefer Mail Road or Martin Ray Synthesis as CA pinots

Very California. Dense. Starts out super jammy. But the nose opens up after 60-90 min. Lots of herbs, forest notes there. Silky tannins and decent acid. This is a Pinot for a cab lover.

Not for me. Bright red fruit, plenty of acid and some tannin. Missing that loamy, funky note that I love.

Takes a minute to open up. But great dark fruit and plenty of tannin. Had it with a bud cheese burger at home. Awesome with red meat.

I guess orange wine is not for me. This had a grapefruit quality on the palate that I found unpleasant. Like cheap store bought grapefruit juice.

Not quite right. Feels out of balance. Maybe it would be better in a year or two.
