A lovely, light, Loire CF, not trying to be anything more than what it is. Great compliment to a pork chop, also went well with rare hanger steak.

Still in fine fettle, fruit is lively and tannins present but not aggressive.
Red
Still has the bones of a very nice bottle, though a bit past its prime. No bricking to speak off, but fruit is a little faded and acidity is more prominent than I remember from previous bottles. Maybe sitting in a closet all these years wasn't ideal storage for it. Curious to see how the last couple are holding up.

Lovely, dry fruity and acidic, wish we had more.

Cork was a mess, but the wine is doing great. Still a lot going on in that bottle.
Red
Same notes as last time. Fruit started out subdued, but now it's lots of red fruit, with tannins and acid in balance..
Red
Still plenty of fruit, low-key tannins.

It was ok the night we opened it, fairly lemony, nothing special, but we capped half the bottle and revisited a few nights later, and it had actually improved -- flavors were richer.

Sweeter than we expected (just a tiny bit sweet) but nice flavors nonetheless.

Aging well, rich and delicious. No unwanted signs of aging. Cork didn't break!

Unlike the previous one we opened, this one showed no adverse signs of age, and was perfectly delicious.

Yes as mentioned cherry when opened, lots of tannin, but after decanting and over the course of a few hours it opened very nicely and by the last sips it was just hitting its stride.

Not really a sweet wine, but a little sweet for my liking. I'll try a different Vermentino next time.

Maybe getting a little long in the tooth. Not quite raisiny, but seemed to lose some freshness with longer exposure to air. Lots of residue.

Re-bottled half into a 375, we'll see how that half does later in the week.

This was much better than I expected, based on the prior comment. As it turned out, we quite enjoyed it. While it was acidic and hot at first taste, it didn't take long to open up in the glass. I decanted the balance and popped it into the fridge briefly. By the end of the evening the heat was undetectable, the acidity had tempered and fruit had emerged, with light tannins at the finish. Would buy again.

A nicely made wine, though a little sweeter than I expected from the wine merchant's description. Though that's not the wine's fault. I would buy again if I were looking for an off-dry Riesling.

Y'know, it's not the greatest red bubbles I've had, but it's dry, bubbly, pretty in the glass, and all-around enjoyable with Neapolitan pizza.

The second of my three bottles, this one seemed like it had gone around the bend just a bit too far. The one we drank last month was perfectly fine and quite tasty, this one tasted kind of elderly. Certainly no match for our delightful Iberian-ish meal of tinned fish alongside a stew of white beans with carrots.

Nice and crisp, great with Napolitana pizza (like a Margarita, plus capers and anchovies).

We were surprised at how much we liked it. Nice, light strawberry aroma, clean finish, not sweet.

This one was a little disappointing, compared to the one we opened a year ago. Enjoyable, but showing some signs of age, with the caveat that it was stored at room temp all these years.

still a pretty meh bottle, as befits its origins. A touch of sweetness along with a touch of salinity, in a way that just doesn't work well together.
Red
fruit not old and faded but not jammy, peppery, pleasant acidity and tannins.

A bit of a revelation, as we tend to shy away from the high AbV wines in our collection. This has held up so well. The tannins are well balanced, and the fruit (blackberries, mainly) is still vibrant.

Red - Sparkling
I have a soft spot for red sparklers, and this one is quite enjoyable. Nowhere near the funkiness of a dry Lambrusco, or the sourness of a pet nat, it's pretty simple and straightforward. Very fruity and light, with a dry finish. Our first bottle from this order, opened the same day it was delivered, struck us as just ok, but this one, a couple of weeks later, was perfect with pizza, on a warm April night.
Red
Still very enjoyable, but the fruit in this bottle had a hint of aging, I thought, and I wonder if it's time to drink these up.
Red
Didn't enjoy this one as much as the previous bottles. There was nice fruit at first, but the finish seemedalittle tart. It did better as it evolved. In any case, that was my last bottle.

This looked slightly bricked on opening, and initially was kind of hot, but after that blew off the wine was in great shape.

Still a super wine, sadly my last of this vintage. Fruit is beautifully preserved, with notes of licorice and maybe cedar. Our friend was raving about it, it was so sad to tell her it's from a defunct winery.
Red
Quite nice. Struck as hot at first, but that didn't take long to calm down. Fruit is more of a background note at this point. No bricking, color still good.

Still doing really nicely. Sorry that the one clunker I got was the one I gave away. Reports were that it tasted like cardboard (ugh). Finally got around to opening this last one, still rich fruit, plenty of acidity, and medium tannins.

This was surprisingly crisp and dry, though without much Riesling character, to my palate. Very enjoyable. We poured it as an apéritif. We got an earlier vintage at the winery at least a decade ago, which left me not expecting much from the current version (disgorged 10/2021), but I'd get more of this.

The last of my bottles, it stood up well, despite its years in the closet. The cork, always an adventure with older Wellingtons, came out in one shot. PnP, there a tiny hint of bricking in the color, with a clear meniscus. Initial taste, there was little fruit, it seemed thin, with a notably acidic and lightly tannic finish. I decided to decant a let it sit for a bit. There was a small amount of dark residue in the bottom of the bottle.

A half hour later, the air had helped to bring out some fruit, and something like a little cedar wood in the nose. The acidity had calmed down significantly, the wine felt more rounded, and continued to evolve nicely over the evening. Quite delicious a couple of hours post decant.

Drank it after a brief decant. Not a fruit or alcohol bomb, much better than we expected. Smooth, with light tannins. Drank the last glass two nights later, tannins were more prominent and we enjoyed it more.

This bottle may have been mistreated in its short life. It was definitely orange, and tasted oxidized to me, which has not been my experience with other orange wines. The only Georgian wine I've tried (also made in kveri) was a red, and was fantastic, so I don't think it's a matter of winemaking technique. In fairness, I haven't tried much Rkatsiteli, so maybe it's just a grape I don't like? Or maybe the store had it on the shelf too long. I'll have to try more Rkatsiteli and find out.

Nice fruit, not super-plush. Acid and tannins keep it interesting. Very good with salmon filet seared after sous-vide.
