I really don't understand the low ratings from other tasters. This wine is terrific, especially for this pricepoint. It's a typical leoville las cases wine, strong and bold. Lots of blueberry, cassis, a bit of spice, strong but fine tannins, and a very reasonable finish. 91 points!

The more I drink this wine, the more I love it. This starts out simple, with lots of flavor and cachet, but let it decant for a day and this gets deeper and deeper. There is so much going on here. It's a hell of a buy, this one. Gets better and better ^_^

Drank from my cellar. Typical Pomerol, quite acidic and lots of tannins in the beginning. After some air more fruit comes through. All in all a nice little wine, although a bit pricey for its value. Nice wine with food, steak
and spicy asian food comes to mind. Decant for at least 1 hour to get a less agressive profile. I like this wine at lot. Drink now to 2030.

We had this at a Spanish Tapas restaurant in Amsterdam (named 'Pata Negra'). Fantastic wine, especially when paired with Albondigas, Lamb and Steak. Very fruitforward on the nose, red fruits, a touch of vanilla, leather, and a bit of oak. On the palate lots of red dark berries, some chocolate flavors, vanilla. Silky tannins, medium acidity, and a long round finish. Pop 'n Pour, you can drink it right away, no need for decanting. When home I immediately ordered a few bottles for the cellar. ^_^ buy now.

On the nose: notes of spices, some fruit, and a touch of vanilla.
On the palate: lots and lots of fruit, medium tannins, medium acidity, medium finish. Not bad at all, considering the price. Buy and drink right away. Chill this a bit if weather is warm.

excellent wine. fruit to the brim, no concessions there. almost sweet, but it isn't, its just the fruit. lots of strawberry, red berries. a bit of oakiness but not too much. medium body, soft tannins, medium finish. quite drinkable. good buy if you have it. recommend.

right out of the bottle it drinks like a merlot/cab from bordeaux. quite good, not too grippy, medium tannins, medium finish. I am actually quite impressed since this wine is still 'young' but at the same time it is quite accessible. so, right out of the bottle: 89 points for sure. Decanting for an hour learns that it is more than a simple bordeaux. It has some nice peppery notes which are not overly dominant ( they are there though ), some herbaciousness is there in the nose but strangely not on the palate. How interesting! It still tastes like a bordeaux but it smells like a supertuscan. Nice. I really am impressed with this wine. In the end I am giving this wine 91 points and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a quality supertuscan for a minimal price. buy and drink ! cheers !

This is lovely. Very fruity, very fresh and lively. Some tertiairy notes beginning to surface. Medium tannins, medium to long finish, and damn it is good. This vintage is coming in its drinking window and will soon peak. give it one or two more years. Decant for 30 mins. Nice!

Oh, this is certainly a wine to remember. Luckily I have a few left in the cellar. This one will go very well with pasta and pizza. On the nose it's peppery and spicy, with some floral notes. On the palate it's more herbacious with a slight hint of pepper and vanilla. medium tannins, but a long finish. Quite fresh, so there is some acidity too, but it's not overwhelming. Vanilla is normally not my taste but it's not overly oaky so it'll do. Not bad for this price. Nice. Drink now.

Very similar to the 2020 vintage, yet a bit more fruit, a bit more complexity. Velvety tannins, freshly acidic. Medium finish. Decant for 30 minutes or more. Might be ageworthy. Very nice wine for this price and I am certain I will buy more.

Fantastic. You will have to decant this wine at least 30 to 40 minutes before drinking. But then it becomes floral and fragrant. Very easy on the palate, and quite silky. rather good. 92 points. love it.

I wish I had another bottle of this vintage. It is in a nice place right now. Right out of the winecellar tt starts out a bit austere and light, but decanted and warmed up a little bit it becomes more and more full-bodied. This wine is still very much alive and for this price it is actually very very good. quite impressive. The vintage is 2005, so the fruitiness of a young vintage is a bit gone but it still has lots of leather, dark and dry fruits (berries, blackcurrant) with a whiff of barnyard. It has quite some tannins still, and decent acidity. medium finish. quite dry. This still has some has some years. I will give this 91 points. If you are able to get this vintage, buy it.

Actually, for this price this is a very decent wine. lots of red fruit, lots of acidity, medium tannins, not very harsh and quite easy going without being too linear. It does have some complex flavors and a decent finish. I like this wine. 89-90 pts imho.

for its price this is a pretty decent wine. do not expext grandness but it drinks well and its not to tannic nor acidic. decent flavors and decent fruitiness...drink right away, no need for aging.

Started out at 12 degrees right from the cellar, decanted and drank over the course of 2 hours. Chilled on the nose, immediately the oakiness and sweet vanilla flavor come out and on the palate that's even more prominent. Flavors of Pipe tobacco, oak and vanilla, already quite pungent and on a cold tongue that comes out a bit off at first, because one misses some tannins in this stage.

When decanted for a while the wine warms up, and some tannins become more prominent, but the sweetness increases a bit aswell, which is not great. It also becomes a bit hot on the tongue, which is the alcohol (13,5%) and that tells me the wine is not very well balanced.

It's not a terrible wine, but I have had so much better for this pricepoint. All in all I wouldn't buy this wine again.

pretty good wine for this price. lots of fruits, medium acidity, medium tannish, medium finish. It's certainly not like the 1st wine of Chateau Clinet, but one can't expect that from a 15 euro bottle. perfect for daily use. Good with steak.

Classic Medoc. Still very fresh and fruity, There are still some tannins, but certainly drinkable after decanting for half an hour or longer. Could use some more maturing (2+ years) but certainly nice now aswell.

I am really impressed by this young wine, especially if you consider the pricepoint. It is something else! Deep, dark fruits, almost a sweet wine (not really), but then come some nice tannins. medium acidity and a surprising long finish.
Let decant for an hour or so or start chilled right away and let it develop in the glass (and the decanter).

Mise en bouteille 2022. For such a value, this is a tremendous amount of good wine. Very fresh, fruity and vibrant. little tannins, little acidity, just an enjoyable little weekdays' wine. No need for aging, this wine is drinkable per direct. for its value and quality, 88 pts. nice.

For a budget wine like this, this is actually very enjoyable. Rich fruits, lots of tannins but not to heavy on the palate. Very approacheable and worth every penny. a bit linear but you can't expect too much here. very nice. 89pts.

J. de Villebois is probably one of the easiest pinot noir to drink at this pricepoint. velvety tannins, supple and fruity, you can't go wrong with this one.
