Check my past tasting notes. Just a super cab. It does not get any better than this.

7/18/17, 11:54 AM - I don't know how that happened. However, I do remember that I was sipping my 3rd glass of this beautiful cabernet while I was posting a tasting note.

Still drinking well but fully mature. Wouldn't hold on to this.

I also opened the last of my 2002 Andrew Geoffrey on the same same day that you opened yours(12/11/2013).
I had a little taste before I decanted and it was very astringent and I said to myself; I can't serve this to anyone. After an hour after decanting, this wine really blossomed. The color was gorgeous and the fruit was more forward than any of his 2002's that have been drinking over the last 5 years. The finish was fairly long. Sadly, it was my last 2002.
I do have every vintage moving forward. I love mountain cabernets and especially Andrew Geoffrey.

Great wine - reddish / black color. Had with a grilled filet and decanted for 1.5 hours (more time is better with this wine) before dinner. Initially the nose was muted with herbal overtones - with airtime, blackberry (morphing to red fruits with time), tobacco, cigar box & green pepper. Palate was consistent except fruit (red & black) was more prominent. Full dodied, with excellent balance, and firm tannins on the long finish - this wine will sing in a few years. The wife loved it as did I - one of the best wines I have had in 2010. Interesting to see how this would perform with Bordeaux in a blind tasting - 91-93 range - showing 93 given where I see this wine in a few years.

11/1/10, 12:57 PM - We had this at my cabernet wine tasting on 10/03/2010 and everyone enjoyed it. It stood up with the big boys (2004 Silver Oak Napa and 2005 Ch. Montelena Estate). My only regret was that I did not decant.
