I don't have much experience with sherry, but I should drink this more. Might prefer Fino and Manzanilla over amontillado... this wine was not wrong in any sense and actually very tasty with its brown and nutty profile. Fine freshness also. Would be interesting to see how well this keeps in the fridge. Now drank over two days.

Disgorgement June 2022. It's been a while, finally a classic BdB. Quite aggressive mousse, but with some time in the glass it becomes smooth and nice. Beautiful and fruity aroma. Pleasant balance with salty finish. Would like to try again after 5y or so.

Surprised by the round mouthfeel, this was smoother than expected. Nice! Fine juicy taste with ok tannic finish.

Full, fairly warm but nice fruit. Ok balance, but slightly on the richer side. Feels like malbec share could be semi high. Can buy again. Drink colder than normal.

Fun wine. Very fresh with the salty and mineral mouthfeel. Fantastic after a warm day in the sun. Good also with tapas-ish food. Should have more txakoli.

Big, generous wine, also a bit clumsy... Salty, kind of whisky-feeling...? Also fruity with clear acidic grip that reminds of rhubarb. Still fairly fresh. Anyhow, I want another one.

Solid riesling that most people like. Trocken feeling but 17 g/l sugar. Went well with sashimi and soya butter. I had a mature XXL riesling last week and this was clearly thinner and more fruity. Both very good.

It's difficult to find many madeiras here so I'm trying tawny Ports. Not that far away. This was too alcoholic initially, but smoothened out a bit. But just a bit. Classic nose, even with some caramels. Good fresh mouthfeel invites more sipping. 88-89p.

EDIT 6.6.2022: had left the bottle opened in the fridge for 6 months... still drinkable. Big surprise, they store well opened.

This was really fine! Buy it for the mousse =) Affordable. Will try again.

Interesting wine, this is 17 g sugar but stated as trocken. Felt dry. I'm not really fond of the petroleum touch, but in here it worked. Fine broad bitter grip at the finish. Still enough freshness. Paired with cured salmon and soya butter, with success.

Fine grip while still being rather easy on the palate. Something really nice about the "density" of mouthfeel, it fills up well without feeling heavy. Quite open despite the age, without decanting. Maybe not all the fine aromas I would like to have, but I liked it. Not cheap but could buy again.

Delicious! From half bottle. Medium body, low tannin, high acidity. Nice caramel aroma with lovely strawberry fruit and tobacco.

Warm almost cooked fruit, high acidity but smooth lasting and almost dusty tannines. Clear pretty nice perfume on the nose from barrel aging. My first alfrocheiro. Solid and quite interesting wine but not fully charming. Reminds me of a crossing between sangiovese and pinot noir...
