Fantastic wine. But this time it got too little air. It was at a tasting, so only 90 minutes in bowl
Save it another 10 years, and you will be reworded big time...

Very nice amarone now. Good maturity. Needs to be drunk within 2-3 years. Still lots of sweetness in the wine, but tannins and acidity are there to make a better blend.. A good sharring wine. Too much sweetness to drink hole bottle yourself..

A nice experience.. A little light in the nose, but the taste is balanced with sweatness, chokolate, a little mint and soft tannins.
Drank over one hole day.. For me a little better than expected..

Tasted this wine many times. This time was the best. Needs time and time has come now. Keep for 3 years is ok. But it is not getting better
This is a huge amarone - in nose, mouth , all - this time the balance is perfect. Has loosened up it's roughness and is now a powerfull balanced amarone when it is best.
3 more in cellar, which I am happy for.
Drank over two days, and day one and two were both great!!

On the palate it is perfectly rounded. acids, tannins and and mature fruit pleases the mouth
It can last for another 5 years, but will not be better than today - I think

Wow. Smooth and heavy at the same time. More ready to drink than 2005.
Dark and fat. Spicy in the nose with licorice - sweet and english. Mint hints.
In the mouth creamy heavy and spicey. Very long aftertaste. Wanted to save for the next day - but impossible...

The new king of Classico. Traditional - This is a multilayer amarone. Power, fruit, minerals, spicies, tabacco, sweetness... It goes on very long
Fantastic nose, The palate fills the mouth and stays in the mouth long after the wine is gone.
This is an amarone I will never get tired of . Bravo Federico..

Very smokey and full bodied. Sherry notes because of air interfeerence...
Could have been very big champagne....

Traditional amarone. Tiny and short nose, but the palate in the mouth makes it all worth.. Wow.
Mature and fullbodied, and still with fruit, acids and lovely soft tannins.. Will still be good for the next 3 years.
I am sorry that it was my last bottle.. Now I have to start on 2000.
My second best speri amarone. The best was speri amarone dbl. Mg 1990 served at speri place at a lovely dinner with speri family..

Very good Cabernet from Valpolicella. Dried for 2½ month. slovenian oaks.
Different Cabernet than normal. Very good balance between acids, fruit, and tannins. Sweatness appears on second day because of the drying process.
At the momemt this wine is going to peak. But still has some years to go.

Nice classic Barolo. As most Barolo's fine and tiny in the nose. The palate however offers tabacco, leather, clay, moderate burned fruit and spices.
Feminin Barolo which goes towards Burgundy. I love it. Still to keep for some years to go

Still not peeking but fantastic amarone now. Fresh with lots of fruit, soft acids and tannins. Vey powerfull.
Big traditional nose. In the mouth I find Cherry, spicey fruit, licorice, chocolate and integrated wood. Real amarone. I can't wait for the next years to follow this vintage.

I have been following this vintage for some years. Now it is peeking!! Changing from classic total dry amarone to sweet plumb, still with lots of acids and tannins. Turns into "Bussola" style.
The nose is calm and small, but the taste is fantastic. Not too sweet, because of the acids and tannins. I will drink the rest withinn the next year or two. Looking forward !!

3 hours in decanter the day before we had to drink it. Very powerfull nose with liquorice, caramel, tobacco, ripe dark fruit and spices - a little mint and wet clay.
Very balanced with notable alcohol integraded into a perfect harmony. Fruit, acids and tannins in total balance. Very powerfull elegant..
Best superiore I have tasted from him.

Opened in the morning - 3 hours in decanter and drunk in the evening.
Very big nose. First the port aromaes appears. And they are staying all the way. Caramel, tobacco, liquorice, plums, dark spices and ripe fruit. Everything in a mix.. Lovely.
On the palate - Extreemly silky and powerfull at the same time. Nose and mouth fits together perfectly..
Very looong finish, still with good tannins..
If you like port - you will adore this amarone. The champ !!

Extreemly dark colour. I almost had to through out my decanter.. Unfiltered
In the nose still a little closed. decanting this amarone 3 hour in the morning - drink in the evening. Too little air - of respect to Romano Dal Forno which do not allow oxygen in his wines at all.
Still tobacco box aroma along with dark spices, ripe black fruit, liquorice - the english one - and lots of potentials.
In the mouth extreemly powerfull, full bodied, fat and creamy with huge fruits marinaded in alcohol.. Wow!!
2'nd best vintage tasted from Dal Forno. ( 97 the best )
A wine to remember...

Varm nose - jammy and plum. In the mouth the wine is very sweet, but warm from high alcohol. The power and acidity is good for this 11 years old wine.
It's not a food wine, but for meditation. But only one big glass. Or else it will be too much..
Armandolato like....
Wasn't good for my purpose.

Very dark and closed amarone in the nose and mouth. Even after some hours, the wine is still hard and out of balance. No fruit at all to find.
Day 2 : Seems a little oxidated in the nose. Still totally out of balance. Big disapointment !! Perhaps same problem as some of Montecariano amarone vintage 2003.
I had greater expectations.. Poor..

Very dark potent wine- in the nose it reminds of Priorat and amarone at the same time. Lots of Liqurice, tobacco and tons of fruit. good acid and balance. Very drinkably if you want heavy velvet. And still years to go for this wine..
Wanted to try out for two days but it was impossible ( half bottle ) too good.. Yummy !!
