Medium to full body, high acidity and medium tannins. Colour is deep, dark purple with a reddish tinge. Nose is strong, dark ripe fruits - plum, blackberry, black cherry and herbaceous with a peppery note and tobacco. One can feel the oakiness in the finish which is long and well rounded. Has aged well but still needs to breathe for 20-30 mins after opening. Looking forward to my next helping !!!

Outstanding dessert wine with a strong nose of oranges, raisins, dates and spices. Medium plus body, long finish.

Oranges, honey, ripe apricots and ginger on the palate. Good level of acidity adds freshness. Makes you want to go back for another sip. Deep golden amber colour.

Amazing pairing with French food - duck confit, branzino , cheese and crab cake. Very fresh inspite of its age !!! Great tart acidity - aroma of lemon and stone fruits. Also vanilla and oak. Held its structure superbly over 10 years in the bottle.

oak blackcurrant blackberry vanilla plum black fruit mint chocolate leather. Deep ruby colour and a fruity note - ripe black fruits. Oak is well integrated and the tannins are defined but smooth. Acidity is tart and pleasing. 13 years old but still has a nice kick. Finish is short-medium. Very enjoyable!!!

Plum, blackcurrant on the nose. Dark fruits - plum, black cherry, black currant - balanced with oak, chocolate and earthiness. Medium body and medium acidity. Off dry. Mid tannins and a long finish. Young wine will age well.

Medium to light body. A fruity nose with medium low Tannins and low acidity. Nose is Blackberry, plums and cherry. Finish is short. This is a good table wine which opens in a hour to give a more rounded mouth feel.

Wow !!!! Absolutely magnificent !!!! Toffee, dates, prunes, ripe blackcurrants - thick and viscous making you want to drain the last drop !!! Drink it slowly and let it coat your palate with a heavenly concoction of dates, raisins, prunes and chocolate!!! What a perfect way to finish dinner !!!!

Near perfect for what you would expect from a Cabernet Sauvignon - age has mellowed the acidity but tannins remain medium + and the nose is heavy with blackberry and ripe plums. The secondary notes are oak and tobacco. The finish is long and smooth.

Refreshing and smooth wine with a nose led by earthy, oaky and tobacco aromas and followed by strong black fruits - ripe plum, blackberry - dominating the palate. Acidity and tannins even after 12 years are medium plus. Full bodied wine with a deep garnet colour. Recommended to decant for an hour before drinking as it significantly smoothens the tannins. Great value for money at $20 per bottle.

Tasted 03/10 Coravin Pour
- deep purple colour
- clear
- aroma is moderate with blackberry notes
- tannins are not expressive - medium at best
- finish is short
- acidity is low and smooth
- body is medium
- good balance
- flavour intensity is sharp but not powerful.
Rate 3.5 - has aged decently well. Will be a good wine with red meat or pasta

Tasting (Coravin Pour) 03/08/24
- initial taste was high tannins and acidity
- complex structure with strong black fruits - blackberry, plum, blueberries
- clear deep purple
- nice pleasant aroma
- wine has strong legs when swirled
- tannins are still strong after 12 years
- earthy notes of tobacco, oak,
- dry - high level of dryness
- finish is medium

Wine opens up in the glass even more after 10-15 mins and the high acidity becomes less evident - more like medium acidity after opening up

Silky Taste with low acidity and tannins given the age. But still holds a smooth but short finish. Nose is black fruits (blueberry and blackberry). Colour is still very deep.
