  March 12, 2017 - Brought a bottle direct from the winery - I love this wine - it has amazing complexity for a wine with no oak. Very slightly reductive, red stone fruits, warm earth, spice and Mediterranean herbs. Sweet, rich, unctuous on the palate like a delicious, full-bodied Pinot. Standout structure and length. Really shows the heights the great southern Italian reds can reach.

  December 19, 2010 - Purple-ruby red. intriguing nose of wild berries, the leaves, balsamic and mineral notes. In the mouth start sweet and fruity, black fruit (black cherry and blackberry), then very smooth and silky tannins come on board. 17% abv is not perceived at all thanks to a good acidity and a powerful structure. Extremely finish of blackberry. Impressive wine, maybe a bit unbalanced on the soft side.
  
  Rosso rubino-porpora. Naso intrigante, complesso, di frutti di bosco, foglie di te, soffi balsamici e minerali. Bocca con ingresso dolce e fruttata, di marasca e mora, molto morbido; si fanno poi strada tannini finissimi. L'alta gradazione alcolica non si sente, ben bilanciata dall'acidita e da una struttura imponenete. Lungo finale fruttato di mora, interminabile. Vino impressionante, forse un po sbilanciato verso la dimensione fruttata/morbida.
