Community Tasting Notes 11

August 4, 2021 - Poured this at a gathering of family and friends. Drinking beautifully right now - much more in the zone than the last bottle I tried about 5 1/2 years ago. It's more integrated and harmonious with lovely mature earthy fruit. Fragrant on the nose and the palate matches it as well. This drew praise from both light enthusiasts and experienced enthusiasts alike.

    March 3, 2018 - PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs
    -brilliant dark red, minimal bricking
-gorgeous perfumed moderately expressive deep-pitched rich dark red fruits
-med acidity, med weight with ample depth linear fading dark red fruit saline with a very slight but nonetheless somewhat distracting herbal bitter element on the back end, med/med- chalky tannins
-serious and a bit somber for Chambolle, probably near full maturity though may still be able to gain some complexity over the next few years

August 20, 2017 - Bigger fruited than the 02 amoureuses which we tried side by side. Plummy and fresh, more on the masculine side.

January 29, 2017 - Perfectly enjoyable albeit light-hearted nose, and a perfectly empty and watered down palate

February 13, 2016 - As others have noted, on the ripe and plush side, but not over the top at all. Enjoyed this very much.
