July 3, 2013 - pleasant nose, fruit forward on the mouth, but bitter finish. Agree with the beaujolais comments below. The carbonic character improves within 30 mins or so. I simply didn't enjoy this wine very much. There are much better pinot values out there to be found

October 25, 2011 - Black cherry color; black cherry and purple grape gum notes (a not to Beaujolais?) with earthy, tarragon and blackberry notes; medium minus mouthfeel, fairly silky and pinot-like but with a bunch of dry dusty tannins and high acidity, almost Chianti-like. Slight bitter finish, but lots of dark berry and earthy character in this entry level Pinot.

October 15, 2011 - Opened at cool room temp. Pop n pour. Deep, Ripe cherries aromas. Promises better than what it delivers in the mouth: it's simple medium red fruit, with little tannins, and little acidic structure. Short lasting and basic. At $15-18... it's not bad....good for a weekday pizza or chicken dinner type bottle. At this price point, hard to find a drinkable pinot. This would do.

July 1, 2011 - Bought a case earlier this year and since my local wineshop has more thought I would check in on it. Decanted, TN is 3 hours later. Cherry nose and a little vanilla cream, oak peeks through a bit. On the palate, light to medium intensity, cherry/berry flavors, plenty acid, a bit out of balance but perhaps needs to rest some. Good with food. Could use some time.

March 12, 2011 - Beltramo's Red Burgundy Tasting (Menlo Park, California): Medium with pale edge. Brambly, green nose does not really fit with its berry-like blue fruit that is presented in an almost carbonic maceration style. Light body, very tart acidity. There is no shortage of fruit here, but the balance seems off and the wine is a crazy quilt of disparate smells and flavors.
