  August 27, 2023 - Opaque dark red with orange layer. Black fruits, blackberry, truffle, tobacco, leather, chocolate, spices and minerality. Complex and elegant. Silky tannin with medium-high acidity. Excellent structure. Intense fruits but not heavy. Long finish. Decanted for 2 hours. This bottle would continue to improve for the next 20 years.

  April 2, 2022 - Dinner at the Papies (The Papies, Elizabeth St, London): Our last bottle and albeit we rates the others 95+ on this occasion they wine was not of the same caliber.
  Not bad or flawed , just buttoned down and lacking a charming side and unfortunately elegance that the quality and pedigree usually dictate. Not sure what to say here but not more than a 92 and that may be out of pure respect.

  November 29, 2020 - Last bottle and didn't reach the heights of others consumed earlier . Good colour but more faded on the nose and not the same depth and length .Decanted for a couple of hours .

  October 4, 2017 - Decanted for a good hour. Have we had this blind we would have guessed Napa syrah , that was the level of intensity.
  Spice, dark fruits, power but not heavy. A bit different to last tastings were the richness of the fruit ruled the wine. This time it was a lot more round and less oaky. Maybe bottle evolution here so we will see wit our next one. (#firstworldproblems)
