November 20, 2023 - Drinking very nicely today, but will improve with more time. Nose is cherries, cola and mineral…. Some rhubarb and dirt. Bright cherry also on the palette, wild strawberry and mineral. The purity of fruit is off the charts…. Incredible balance with a long (pure as spring water) finish. Wonderful juice. Can’t wait to see how this one evolves.

September 29, 2021 - Garnet colour. Autumn leaves, cherry, earth. Savoury and expressive, with a delicate perfume. Medium palate, but good intensity. Just delicious right now.

June 17, 2021 - Really nice classic Chambolle..

March 4, 2021 - Chambolle Northside 1er (Zoom / Chicago): In a flight with 06/07/08 Dujac Gruenchers and the house styles couldn't be more different. This is all about the purity of fruit with modest herbal accents (vs. the intensely stem-spiced Dujacs). Youthful, fruity with excellent balance and freshness. It's a bit on the simple side flavor-wise but the fruit purity and balance are quite compelling. Upside from here.

March 4, 2021 - Chambolle-Musigny "Northside" 1er Cru Tasting (Chicagoland IL): In Gruenchers flight. Started off very fleshy and rich, but more precision and texture emerged gradually in glass. At first I thought this a very good typical 2009, but more clean fruit and charm emerged with air. somewarmth on finish to start, but that also dissipated.
