March 25, 2019 - Dark fruit (cherry, blueberry), nice fruit, nice spice, cedar, good acidity, graphite, lingering finish. Some tannins. Really enjoyable.

April 21, 2012 - nice balance of tannins and fruit at this point, as one hopes. lovely nose. A good wine certainly but not cheap for a 2nd even when I bought it 10 years ago. There's better value out there.

April 13, 2012 - I'm rather sensitive to TCA and this bottle was ever so tainted, but not beyond the point of drinking with food. I've drunk the '98 Angelus several times, and there is a resemblance to the grand vin with this bottle, but nowhere nearly as opulent as the '98 Angelus. This is my only bottle, but I wouldn't hold any more if I had any for 1) fear of being corked and 2) this wine is giving all that it ever will at this point in time.

July 29, 2011 - Wine window was too short in the community. Still has fruit, a bit thin but still a nice bottle of wine. Maybe LUCVB's bottle was corked.
