January 18, 2024 - Made from 60+ year old vines, aged in 40+ year old large barrels for 3 to 6 years. Deep garnet colour, ruby hue. Medium+ intensity rustic and musty aroma of mushrooms, chalk, earth, dried plums and blackberries, tomato leaves, damp cellar. Medium+ body, rustic and musty tertiary flavours of damp earth, mushrooms, raw meat, touches of cherries and plums. Elegant juicy structure, high acidity, medium+ fine tannins. Over its peak, fruit is nearly evaporated, but still enjoyable.

December 22, 2023 - Interesting nose with quite a bit of musty notes, damp cellar, old leather, red fruit, and green pepper. There's a bit more fruit on the palate with cherry and berry notes, as well as more of the musty character. Good finish. Definitely enjoyable, but fully tertiary right now. I would drink up.

September 22, 2023 - Having heard terrifying stories of the quality of corks in this vintage at Lenoir, we where very worried opening this, but luck shined and it was drinking so insanely well.

Green pepper, mushroom, mature fruits, tobacco and harmony. It’s such a bottle and a testament to the longevity of Cab Franc.

Wow wow wow, but drink within the next five years

July 2, 2023 - Epic, with wonderful complexity and depth. Notes of violet, red fruit, mushroom and forest floor. Outstanding, with a long finish.

November 26, 2022 - Christmas BYO (Michaels House): Beautiful and mature wine with plenty of depth and a long and spice-driven aftertaste.
