February 3, 2017 - Recess: Decanted for a few hours, though this comes across incredibly primary and a touch ornery right now with lots of dense red and dark berried fruit tinged with understated earthy and herbal notes, but not a whole lot of complexity beyond. It's immensely ripe yet structured, but after the more mature Burgs this felt like drinking a barrel sample. Painfully young, though packed with potential.

December 2, 2012 - Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Sensational. Fresh blackberry and boysenberry aromas with some sweet spice. Same rich and ripe black fruit flavors with great minerality incredibly long, balanced and persistent. Lots of silky tannins and acidity but both are already well integrated. My favorite wine today in an overall amazing lineup.
