February 13, 2024 - Opened at L'Envol in HK. Slow-oxed for 2 hours before being served blind.

This completely threw me off. I guessed late 90s, given the evolution, and probably something like a GC 1er. The fact that this was a Dujac was really puzzling, as the powerful, whole cluster notes weren't there - and this definitey didn't drink like a Bonnes Mares either! I guess it didn't help that the CLB Colombiere '19 next to it was absolutely singing.

Ah well - perhaps a tired bottle. But my first experience with Dujac BM and a very generous treat from J. Would be interested to try this cuvee again, though so far my best experiences with Dujac have still been MSD, and with slightly younger vintages.

December 7, 2023 - Very structured with the Bonnes Mares personality. But it was not very expressive on the palate, compared to previous bottle. Still a bit bold.

March 2, 2023 - Drank next to an 00 BM, a 99 CSD, and a 76 Roche. I thought this was the most closed initially, but then unfurled as the night went on. It was the most dense and brawny of the lineup, with the 00 immediately ready to play and more open knit though perhaps not likely to have the same longevity, and the 99 CSD the most seductive and well rounded today. The 76 was in great shape, and beautifully perfumed, with secondary/tertiary notes, though the palate was a little clipped and it faded a bit over time (with no decant)

Dense and still tightly wound, dark cherry and blackberry fruit. Carries the 01 signature of leanness, with structure. It may have another gear in the future (94-95)

June 25, 2022 - This is still rather structured but also shows delicious dark cherry/blue fruit with excellent intensity and a taut, chalky finish. Lovely but it may improve with further bottle age. 93+ At Golodetz OTT Lunch

March 25, 2022 - Meals in France; 3/21/2022-3/26/2022 (France): Subtly spiced red and black cherry with faint meat notes. Starts of rich and fun, finishes vibrant and coiled. Lots here to enjoy, further upside going forard.
