Ripe apple and lemon with good brightness for the vintage, good enough weight and depth

Ripe and fleshy with good heft with a sense of sweetness on finish that Inexpext will fade with time

Vincent Bachelet Chassagne-Montrachet Les Benoites. Fun, fleshy and simple, very easy to enjoy in al its youthful exuberance.

Floral and Intense start with Sweet and tart apple. While the botrytis on many other 2013s has filly integrated, here it is still slightly pronounced. Good now, better 2025 forward..

Red and black cherry throughout with a real meaty character. This is still firm, but has a bright mineral arrest running all the way through. 91 points now, but certainly 92-93 point potential, 2027 forward.

Obviously very old, but perfectly clean. Fully mature fruit with lots of cooked mushrooms plus some leather and earth. Staying fun, enticing and vibrant through the hour+ in glass.

Popped and poured, then enjoyed over two hours. White flowers from the beginning with lemon notes. That lemon kept unfolding and emerging in new and different ways over the course of the afternoon, showing ripe lemon, lemon zest, and lemon curd at various times. Very dense, nearly unctuous textures were somewhat at odds with the lean fruit profile and very bright energy, but that just added to the complexity here. At a great place today, but certainly with further upside.

Green and yellow apple with good weight, wonderful balance and sneaky good length. even better now vs when last tasted in 2020.

Popped-and-poured, this was slightly reductive to start, but that dissipated within ten minutes. Lots of ripe apple and pear upfront, the wine quickly brightened up, ending with impressive energy. Very good now

From the 1980s. Ripe apple, caramel apple with butterscotch. Good richness, somewhat lacking effervescence.

Lots of baked apple comes across as rich and layered with some dried apricot, baked apple throughout. Seems richer to start, then more textured on its long-ish finish.

Ripe apple, baked apple, mostly balanced with a moderate finish. Easy to enjoy now, slightly lost in a flight with bigger boys.

Rich from beginning-to-end, starts out very rich, while finishing brighter with very good length. Very exciting overall, most notably on that finish.

Good enough overall, but slightly more dirty than I would prefer.

An absolute treat, given how rarely I get to taste the late doctor's wines. Sweet ripe black and red cherry with very good concentration for Village wine. Flavors and ripe and mature with just enough earth to make it more interesting, but overall fresher and cleaner than I ever expected.

Mature red and black cherry throughout, slightly earthier nose, then fresher on palate. A sweet note on the finish adds another note of graceful age and emerging complexity. On the lighter, elegant and delicate side for 1985 Grand Cru, but with so much here.

Equal amounts of red and black fruit here with clear Grand Cru density, lots of power, but still easily bright and lively. Some new oak still protrudes, and the tannins are also slightly backward, but is a lot here, and easily 91-92+ point potential, 2029 forward.

I was surprised at how this wine is so fun & easy to enjoy. Charming without anything too ripe or warm. Lots here, good already. 100% Grenache.

Brought from the domaine to the dinner. Equal amounts of bold red cherry with earth, leather, cooked mushroom, and spiced, braised meat. Obviously mature, yet shockingly fresh. An ethereal elegance makes the finish nearly magical. A great wine.

Started as musty, then cleaned up & improved over the next 20 minutes. Also more firm to start, softening with air. This emerged as an enchanting earthy, meaty well aged Burg with lots of spiced and earthy nuance and wonderful textures. Stayed wonderful for the next 30 minutes it stayed in glass.

Madeirized with pronounced acidity, in contrast with the charming Marconnets 1978 in the next glass. Well past its peak.

Nicely fresh green apple, lemon, and candied lemon peel. Comes across as wonderfully savory with a faint sweetness on finish that will probably integrate even further. Very good weight and length. Like most 2013 white Burgundy, this is better now vs when tasted shortly after release.

Smoky apricot with a wonderful demi-sec character that comes with age. All very clean and bright with a long finish.

Dried apricot juxtaposing sweet, tart, and bitter notes in wonderful harmony.

Seemed more "Brut Nature" vs "Extra Brut" to me, this is a powerful glass of sparkling Chardonnay with teeth rattling acidity. So much here, but a little more levity in the form of dosage would have made this a gem for me.

Lots of very bright cross-section of orchard fruit, still slightly backward, very powerful from start-to-finish. So good now, certainly better in another five years.

Rich orchard and stone showing both fresh and maturing character. Good+ weight and length, with lots of layer that kept unfolding in glass. Kept getting better all night.

Subtly spiced red and black cherry with faint meat notes. Starts of rich and fun, finishes vibrant and coiled. Lots here to enjoy, further upside going forard.

Popped-and-poured. Musty start, this cleaned up nicely with 10 minutes in glass, but never quite realized the heights of the bottle from the previous night. Rich with a fun sense of sweetness at its peak, it fell off considerably after 30 minutes in glass.

Unmoved from Moreau since release. Maybe not corked, but corky.

Unmoved from Moreau since release. Blend of all the Moreau 1er Crus except Grandes Ruchottes. Fully mature ripe apple with caramel apple, and honeycomb. Dense and unctuous, while with an exceptionally brightening degree of acidity. Truly sensational, this is the old style of Burgundy that just doesn't exist together, but over which we all swoon.

Certainly rich, probably a bit too rich and/ or oaky still, with plenty of ripe apple and peach start-to-finish. Lots here, but still slightly out of harmony,

Lean black fruit, meats, and savory spice aromas are east to enjoy. Leaner yet on palate with faint pyrazene greenness is slightly less fun, yet with the substance to remain balanced. Best to enjoy near-term before fruit softens. Less stuffing vs a bottle from a few months ago.

Green apple and tart pear with good lift, very bright throughout, still dense enough fruit.
