January 20, 2024 - Lunch with D in HK (The Victuals): Open 2-3 hours earlier, dark fruits, some tar, VA, leather on the palate with grippy dry tannins. med to low acid with med finish. Would have preferred more acid on the palate to fresh up.

December 2, 2021 - Exquisite Barolo: herbs, leather, strawberry, tobacco leaf, prune, plum, bramble, raisin, medium body, exquisite balance, smooth long dry finish.

November 10, 2020 - Decanted and drank over 1 hour. I went back and forth about a threshold TCA taint, but ultimately enjoyed soft, sweet red cherries, a hint of tar. Delicious and Randy to drink w decant.

July 15, 2020 - PNP, in a great place now. Classic red brick color. Fragrant nose of bing cherry. On the palate, rich cherry, tar and leather. Nice acidity, tannins still a bit tight. But it all comes together into a taut, lively balance.

May 21, 2020 - Deep brick color. Faded dark fruit combined with tobacco and forest floor. The tannins are still very pronounced. Has at least another 5-7 years assuming the tannins resolve and the fruit hangs in there. Decant for sediment.
