September 17, 2020 - Billiet's A**tastic Aussie's (Billiet's Bordelo): A touch of play dough/bandaid on the nose along with dark fruits - blackberry/boysenberry. Fully packed and stacked on the palate, layers of flavor. Large-scaled but well balance for its mass. Finish lasted quite long. Beautiful wine! Finished 1 out of 6.

April 9, 2020 - Deep ruby, some clearing on the rim. Beautiful bouquet of garrigue, cassis, sousbois, blueberries, smoke, chocolate. Palate is medium(+) body, soft tannins that provide excellent structure, medium(+) acidity. Despite 15% ABV, only medium alcohol and a little heat on the back palate. Complex and long finish. Stunning wine!

May 5, 2017 - tasted at large walkaround tasting. really beautiful, this belies the stereotype of Australian shiraz. yes, there's still some concentrated black fruit here, but beautiful herbal character is the most prominent, with tarragon, mint, and dried flowers. shows some saddle leather. aging nicely, but a long road ahead.
