November 6, 2023 - Tasted many times before some years ago, disappointed. However, an Impressive development since then. Medium acidity, tannin and finish, high alcohol. Pretty comlex with notes of both primary, secondary and tertiary notes (black currant, prune, eucalyptus, mint, green pepper, cedar, tobacco (Kims Wine Academy)

This wine has 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet France.

Deep rubin red towards deep purple.

Very elegant bouquet with dark-berries, bluebrry, blackberry, leather and licorice and some notes of vanilla and minerality on the nose.

This is a wonderful, elegant and complex wine from the great 2010 vintage starts to show very good evolvement. Not the most intence, but rather a nuance and elegante wine. Still some powerful tannins and sharp acidity. Lovely minerality from the terroit limestone throughout the finish with a long nice aftertaste.

January 25, 2015 - A wonderful, elegant and complex wine. This wine has 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet France. A bit closed in the opening, even after decanting and given some air, but come gradually in the glass. Powerful tannins that still must have couple of years before it is ready. Otherwise all the familiar flavors in a great Bordaux; blackcurrant, leather, cigar and vanilla. This promises to be a great wine, from an even greater vintage.

January 15, 2015 - A blend of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Aged for 18 months in new oak barrels.

Very deep, dark and opaque cherry jam color. Surprisingly restrained and savory nose with aromas of ripe plums, some sweet cassis, light inky character and a hint of spicy new oak that gives the nose a touch of Cognac. The wine feels full-bodied, dense and savory on the palate with somewhat extracted flavors of ripe dark fruits, woody pencil shavings, some oaky bitterness, a little bit of sour plums, a hint of graphite and a touch of sweet red fruits. The wine feels quite structured, but that is mainly because of the high acidity of the wine; the tannins are very ripe, round and mellow, contributing more to the chewy texture of the wine than to the nigh-nonexistent grip. The mouthfeel is very smooth and velvety. The finish is very rich and quite bitter with really dry and quite persistent flavors of ripe dark berries, sappy herbal character, some new oak bitterness and light chocolatey character, a hint of juicy plums and a touch of vanilla. The tannins lend a light astringent touch to the aftertaste.

A pretty rich, soft and modern Right-Bank Bordeaux with a bit too soft structure and quite a bit too much new oak. However, this wine was light years better than the vintage 2011 tasted alongside, which lacked the oomph and concentration here, making the wine just taste like oak-flavored juice, not actual Bordeaux. This is already recognizable as a Bordeaux, although stylistically this is as far removed from my personal taste as possible. Perhaps some cellar age might integrate the oak better with the fruit, but I'm not certain if this wine is actually built for the long haul. Drink at 10-15 years of age and hope for the best.
