  February 9, 2014 - Second Sunday Group: Older California Pinots (Barb's): Pineapple, apricot and orange marmalade notes. Good acidity, with tropical fruit, apricot, honey and floral notes on the palate. Finishes a bit short. 88+ pts.

  Peaches and apricots are the main notes on both the nose and palate, a bit of minerality on the palate and reasonable acidity. Pretty good dessert wine, but no fireworks here.

  May 2, 2011 - Austria Uncorked (SLS Hotel, Beverly Hills, CA): Blend of Welschriesling, Gruner Veltliner and Chardonnay. Nose shows fat peachy fruits. The palate doesn't show the hedonism of the nose. Thick and sweet but in a very pretty way. Very long with some tartness. This would benefit from a few years in bottle to let the thick sweet fruits integrate in my mind. Very nice.
