February 14, 2013 - Some mixed 2005 and 2009 Bojos: Full cherry red. In the nose, there's some green pepper, there are vegetal elements, there's red currant and cherry, some smoke and some Griottines. Very inviting and friendly. On the palate, it's super juicy with nice acidity, it's deep and it expands in the mouth. A great, fully ripe, friendly and juicy Brouilly. Ready to drink.

May 17, 2012 - A little bit monolithic and discombobulated. Although a lot of 2009s are going through this right now as they lose the puppy fat.

April 12, 2012 - Great nose, full of earth and rock. The palate disappoints with a discordant strawberry jolly rancher note. Too ripe for my tastes.

January 2, 2012 - Not as good as the last bottle, seemed a little to high in acidity, fruit was ok but just not the same

November 17, 2011 - Annual Beaujolais Bash-First Chance to Assess 2010 (Mostly Arlequin Wine Merchant, San Francisco): Lighter than the Morgon with a funky edge. Would pass on this as it is not very good.

September 27, 2011 - 100% Gamay from a small 3.5 hectare plot farmed organically. The wines are fermented with indigenous yeast during a cold, long, natural carbonic maceration period in cement vats and oak cask. The wines are then bottled unfined and unfiltered. Medium purple core with medium legs. The nose has medium + intensity with youthful aromas of black cherry, black raspberry, earthy forest floor and pencil lead. The palate is dry, medium + acidity, ripe medium fine-grained tannins, medium alcohol (13% abv), medium bodied, medium + flavor intensity of juicy black fruit, underlying earthy minerality, black currants and a hint of black pepper on the medium + finish. Overall a very good Beaujolais Cru from a quality producer. Great purity of fruit, concentration, and balance between the acid, fruit, and alcohol. The oak is barely noticeable and the wine is a good value at $17.99 US retail at the Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa. Perfectly drinkable now but it should improve and drink well over the next 4-5 years. Another impressive wine from importer Louis Dressner's portfolio.

    June 26, 2011 - C: Med+ Ruby
    A: Med intesnity, youthful
Raspberry, savoury notes, underlying red plum and high toned 'gamay fruit'
T: Dry, med+ acid, med body, med+ intensity, med+ finish, med- tannin
Refreshing grape/darkness flavour going on, medicinal/floral notes, and some of that gamay red fruit

Conc: A excellent Beaujolais, from an excellent year, for the price I may have to buy some more to make them my daily drinkiner
