November 21, 2019 - [Jero] Lovely, a moderate cheesiness, but not unpleasant, like aged Gouda. Definitely a little oxidative but totally drinkable, I thought, and a pretty accessible wine with a lot of weight and rich flavour. Fun. JK Birthday Acker Sale.

January 20, 2018 - Honeyed golden hay colour. Nose has a lovely subtle combination of soft honey, temple smoke, spices and some confit lemon. Palate is still super-fresh and refreshing. Wow…a light but still massive resonance quickly grows inside the head on the finish. Gosh, so light but so powerful. Two bottles with no variation. 91+

July 27, 2015 - If I assessed this wine solely on the nose, it would be 93 points. Intense aromas of almonds, butter, popcorn, caramel, honey, flowers, nuts and dried fruits wafted out of the glass in spades. The palate, however, was a letdown. The wine was slightly tart and out of balance with a lack of fruits. The finish was slightly sharp and lacked continuity. Should have been drunk a few years ago. No sign of premox.

July 27, 2015 - Copperish, totally evolved. Nutty, dried fruits, resiny nose. Very enticing aromas. I love aged white Burg aromas. However, on the palate this fell flat, no fruit sweetness anymore. Quite dry and bitter with a rather clipped finish. I guess the vintage marred the wine.
