March 1, 2024 - La Paulée de Los Angeles - The Verticals (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA): Walkaround vertical tasting. This really showcased what the vintage gave Burgundy, focusing less on ripeness or power, and more on balance and finesse. Elegant and ethereal with great length. This is getting close to its peak drinking window, which I think might be from 2030. Note, a 2nd bottle tasted later was less vibrant.

March 1, 2024 - Wines Tasted at the La Paulée Verticals Session (The Maybourne, Beverly Hills): Based upon tastes from 2 different bottles. Paler red. Feels slight for a wine from this great cru. Light, sweet red fruit entry, but an off flavor right in the mid-palate, excellent acidity, and a grainy, earthy finish. It was the performance of the first bottle of this that made me return to taste second pours of all 3 Ponsot wines. I'm sad to note that the second bottle was no better than the first. This is grossly disappointing and an inexplicably poor, stripped 2010.

August 26, 2023 - Tasted at least 10 year old than it is. It was most likely heat damaged.

April 29, 2022 - Typical Ponsot. Somewhat stinky, animalic and rustic with lots of sour cherry too. Aromas a interesting but very much on the funkyside. The palate is concentrated and has tannins and acidity to support it. May be this needs more time like so often with Ponsot, best after 2027... 91-?

April 27, 2022 - found it difficult to enjoy - the body seems to be shut somewhat and the acidity is more dominant than it will probably ultimately be. I would give this a lot of time and air.
