November 25, 2020 - I purchased a case of this wine seven years ago and recently finished the last bottle. If you are drinking Aldo Seghesio's Barolo be prepared to strain and decant their wines. The 2008's like the 2006's and 2004's are full of sediment. Once you've decanted your wine be prepared to enjoy some very good Barolo. This one is medium bodied, with floral notes and better than average fruit for a Barolo. I'm sorry that I did not purchase a second case.

October 22, 2017 - Excellent Barolo. Lots of rose petals, dark red fruit and some menthol. The palate comes with strong but well irtegrated tannins. Should hold easily another 10-20 years. With respect to the current Barolo prices, this is a steal for a Monforte single cru.

August 20, 2013 - A nice wine, not a rock star by any means. Open enough for current drinking, but better to wait.

December 4, 2012 - Very sharp initially - opens up; Flat, earthy flavors

March 11, 2011 - Cincinnati Wine Festival (Cincinnati, OH): Similar nose. Integrated oak, very tannic, acidic, medium bodied. Very tight. Elegant.
