  February 12, 2023 - I don’t drink much Burgundy, but against all of the higher end California Pinots in my cellar, this was very different Twenty-five years old and not the least bit tired. Burgundy red in the glass-lighter and less dense than Bordeaux and much less dense than California cabernet. The nose has minimal fruit, floral notes, and a touch of iodine. On the palate attenuated red fruit, a hint of acidity, and virtually no tannins. As a result the finish is not the longest. The wine complemented a sirloin and was complemented by my wife, who has a finicky palate and doesn’t like fruit bombs. This is certainly not a fruit bomb.

  September 16, 2017 - Tasted blind and guessed close but didn't think it was nearly 20 years. Very fresh, cool ripe red fruit, a bit of earth, great texture to it. Overall impressed with this one. No rush to drink up, though in a good spot for tastes.
