November 10, 2013 - This is still really good. Good fruit but not overpowering, and a pepperiness that went well with harisa chicken and arugula.

September 28, 2013 - Very solid wine. Still drinking well.

    January 31, 2012 - No notes taken.
Solid zin with 1 yr decant.
    Not hot, well integrated.
Not as impressive as expected, but maybe still needs some more time.

April 24, 2011 - Overall this was a very nice Zin. We really enjoyed the peppery notes and the smooth finish. Definitely wish I'd have opened it earlier as the mouth-feel was just a bit too light for the Maple Vineyard.

September 21, 2010 - nat cork. A dull, dark purple. Notes of damp earth, purple fruits - a bit grapey, hint of cedar and touch of heat. Med-full body, grapey flavor continues to express itself on palate as does the alc, smoothes out some on the finish and a bit of vanilla becomes apparent. Still some prickly tannin. Held up well over next couple days and actually improved a bit/melllowed out - smokey and sasparilla notes emerged as well to provide some added complexity.
