December 4, 2023 - With A Platter of Chicken Alfredo. Red fruit on the nose. The palate was red cherry, red plums, a touch of raspberry, currants and a hint of spice. A nice finish made it an enjoyable wine.

October 28, 2023 - I’m a bit disappointed with this wine based upon my a priori readings of comments. I don’t find this wine to be showing great depth. Is it maturing? Sure, it’s medium bodied weight with purple fruit and some nice nuances of herbs and brighter berries that announce themselves later in the profile than bright red acidity would make me expect. I served this with rack of lamb (with a citrus and rosemary marinade to sous vide before high temp sear over hardwood charcoal) and provided a slow ox over two hours. I just never got any “umph” or weight on the back palate. The terroir sits subtly in the background and tannins were missing heft. Again, no major flaws but just not as interesting as a maturing CdP should be.

October 9, 2023 - Very much in the mature drinking window. Primary notes of dark berry and juniper. Garrique characteristics are muted which is great. Smokey, tobacco, pine and cedar secondary notes very pleasing.

August 5, 2023 - Siggy's Annual BBQ (Chez Siggy & Jenny's Place, Mpls, MN): Dark red color. Small taste. Earthy, funk, garrigue, cherry, savory, olive, medium-full bodied, moderate tannins, really starting to come into its own now. 92+(+)pts.
